Hello everyone! Welcome to another crystal education day!

Today I will be talking about another powerful protection crystal known as Black Obsidian.

Black Obsidian is similar to Mahogany Obsidian in the sense that it is a volcanic glass mineraloid with an amorphous structure. The chemical composition of Black Obsidian is primarily silicon dioxide, along with iron and magnesium that can contribute to its deep black color. It ranks approximately 5–5.5 on the Mohs hardness scale.

Black Obsidian can be found in volcanic regions all around the world, including areas of the United States, Mexico, Italy, New Zealand, Turkey, and South America. It forms when felsic lava flows and cools rapidly, preventing crystallization. Its deep black color is mainly associated with microscopic inclusions of minerals such as magnetite and other iron oxides.

When it comes to physically cleaning Black Obsidian, it is generally safe to use a damp cloth with water to gently wipe away any dust or dirt. As far as energetically cleansing Black Obsidian, I always recommend using sage first and then allowing it to rest on selenite to further cleanse and recharge the stone.

Black Obsidian’s chakra correspondences are the Earth Star Chakra and Root Chakra, with its astrological correspondences being Scorpio and Capricorn.

Metaphysically, this crystal is associated with helping us break free from habits that may otherwise be difficult to change while also helping us recognize underlying patterns that may be contributing to those habits. It can encourage us to release unwanted or subconscious ways of thinking that no longer serve our highest good.

Black Obsidian is especially great to work with if you are someone who is sensitive or susceptible to the energies and feelings of others, as it is traditionally believed to create a protective energetic barrier around you.

If you are someone who works within the spirit realm, Black Obsidian is also used in spiritual practices as a tool that may help strengthen your connection with loved ones who have passed away. It can also be a powerful crystal to work with during shadow work, helping bring hidden emotions, thoughts, and patterns to the surface so they can be acknowledged and worked through.

Black Obsidian can be a wonderful crystal to keep nearby when you are working on releasing old patterns, protecting your energy, or facing parts of yourself that may be difficult to confront. Sometimes growth requires us to look inward and recognize what is no longer serving us before we can truly begin moving forward along our path.

Have you ever worked with Black Obsidian before? If so, what has your experience with it been?

The crystal properties described above are based on metaphysical and spiritual traditions and are not intended as medical advice or as a guarantee of specific results.

✨ Happy Sound Bowl Monday! ✨

For today’s Sound Bowl Monday, I wanted to focus on moving forward with intention and thinking about where we want to go from here.

Last week was more focused on grounding, balance, and coming back to ourselves. This week, I wanted to build off of that by focusing on creativity, confidence, authentic expression, and trusting our own intuition.

For tonight’s video, I’ll be working with the Sacral🧡, Solar Plexus💛, Throat🩵, and Third Eye💙 crystal sound bowls.

The Sacral is connected with creativity, emotions, and allowing ourselves to flow with change. The Solar Plexus focuses on confidence, motivation, and our own personal power. The Throat encourages us to communicate and express ourselves authentically, while the Third Eye is connected with intuition, insight, and trusting our inner guidance.

As you listen tonight, take a few moments to think about where you would like to go from here. What would you like to put more of your energy into? Is there something you’ve been wanting to do but have been holding yourself back from? What feels right for you moving forward?

Take a few deep breaths, allow yourself to listen to the sounds and vibrations of the bowls, and see what comes up for you.

I hope tonight’s Sound Bowl Monday gives you a little time to reconnect with yourself and move into the new week with intention.

Good evening, everyone! Welcome to another Tarot Thursday!

Once again, I am using my Oracle of the 7 Energies deck. Tonight, I pulled a card that has shown up for the collective a few times over the last several months, and that card is The Rose’s Kiss.

One thing I have noticed is how easy it can be to get lost in our own little worlds. With technology in our pockets and at our fingertips, we have the ability to speak with people from across the world, find almost any information we want within seconds, and constantly keep ourselves entertained. While technology allows us to connect with people far and wide, sometimes we forget to connect with the people and the beautiful world that are right in front of us.

When was the last time you went outside and truly spent some time with nature? When was the last time you had a heart-to-heart conversation with a friend who lives nearby? When was the last time you hugged someone you care about and simply allowed yourself to feel that warmth and connection?

The Rose’s Kiss reminds us to come back into the present moment and experience life through our senses. Look around you. What do you see? What can you hear? What can you smell? How does the air feel against your skin? When was the last time you really tasted and enjoyed your food instead of eating while distracted by a screen?

Sometimes we can become so caught up in our thoughts, responsibilities, technology, and everything happening around us that we forget to actually experience the life we are living.

This card is also a reminder that joy does not always have to come from something big or extraordinary. It can be found in feeling the sun on your face, listening to the sounds of nature, enjoying your favorite meal, spending time with someone you care about, petting an animal, watching a sunset, or simply taking a few moments to appreciate where you are.

For me, The Rose’s Kiss feels like a reminder to get out of our heads for a little while and reconnect with ourselves, with one another, and with the physical world around us.

We hear the phrase “stop and smell the roses” all the time. Maybe today, we can take it one step further. Stop, smell the roses, appreciate their beauty, feel the petals, and allow yourself to truly experience the moment.

What is one simple thing that brings you joy when you slow down enough to truly experience it?

Hello everyone! Usually I do my crystal shares on Tuesday, but yesterday kind of got ahead of me, so here I am today!

Today I will be talking about an awesome crystal called Pyrite, otherwise known as Fool's Gold.

Pyrite is part of the isometric crystal system, and its chemical composition is FeS₂, which is made up of iron and sulfur. It ranks 6–6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. Pyrite forms in low-oxygen conditions when iron and sulfur combine through hydrothermal, sedimentary, or metamorphic processes.

Because Pyrite contains iron and sulfur, it is not recommended to use water when physically cleaning this crystal. Exposure to water and moisture can trigger oxidation and contribute to a form of deterioration known as Pyrite Disease. Basically, the Pyrite can begin to oxidize, which may lead to rust-like deterioration and the formation of sulfuric acid. The best way to physically clean this crystal is with a dry microfiber cloth, soft brush, or cotton swab.

When energetically cleansing this crystal, I always recommend saging it first and then allowing it to rest on selenite to continue the cleansing process and energetically charge the crystal as well.

Metaphysically, Pyrite pairs with the Solar Plexus Chakra and the astrological sign Leo. It is great for bringing about feelings of inner strength and confidence while helping to improve your sense of self-worth.

Pyrite is excellent to use when trying to manifest abundance in your life by encouraging possibilities, potential, and prosperity. It can also be an excellent source of inspiration by bringing about positivity, vitality, and an overall sense of well-being.

Pyrite encourages us to see ourselves for who we truly are and to move along our path with courage, confidence, and strength.

Whether you are working toward a new goal, trying to build more confidence in yourself, or simply need a reminder of your own strength, Pyrite can be a wonderful crystal to keep nearby as you continue moving forward along your path.

Have you ever worked with Pyrite before? If so, what has your experience with it been?

✨ Happy Sound Bowl Monday ✨

The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse have passed, and I know the last few days have felt a little heavier or more intense than usual for quite a few people.

For today’s Sound Bowl Monday, I wanted to shift our focus away from the energy leading up to the eclipse and bring things back down to grounding, balance, and coming back to ourselves.

Today I’m working with the Root❤️, Sacral🧡, Solar Plexus💛, and Heart💚 crystal sound bowls.

I began with each bowl individually, starting with the Root for grounding and stability before moving through the Sacral, Solar Plexus, and Heart. From there, I brought the bowls together, allowing their sounds and vibrations to blend before finishing once again with the Root, bringing everything back to a place of grounding and stability.

As you listen, give yourself permission to simply be where you are today. Take a few deep breaths, feel your feet on the ground, and allow the sounds and vibrations of the bowls to accompany you for the next few moments.

Whatever this past week has felt like for you, I hope today’s Sound Bowl Monday gives you a peaceful moment to come back to center.

Hello everyone! Welcome to Tarot Thursday!

This week I am once again working with my Oracle of the 7 Energies deck, and the card I pulled for us today is A Higher View.

Sometimes we can become so focused on what is happening directly in front of us that it becomes difficult to see anything else. We may react out of frustration, fear, anger, or past experiences without taking the time to consider the situation from another point of view.

A Higher View reminds us that sometimes we need to take a step back before we react.

Imagine yourself flying high above your life like the owl pictured on this card. From where you are standing now, you may only be able to see the obstacle in front of you. But from above, you may notice another path around it. You may see something you couldn't see before, understand another person's perspective a little better, or realize that the situation isn't quite what you originally thought it was.

This card also reminds us to be mindful of our judgments and assumptions. We don't always know the entire story, and our first interpretation of a situation isn't necessarily the only one.

If something has been weighing heavily on you lately, take a moment before responding or making a decision and ask yourself:

What might I see differently if I looked at this situation from a higher point of view?

Sometimes gaining a little distance can bring the clarity we weren't able to find while standing in the middle of everything.

For today, I challenge you to pause when something triggers an immediate reaction. Give yourself a moment to look at the situation from another angle before deciding how you want to respond.

What situation in your life could benefit from A Higher View today?

Hello everyone! Welcome to Crystal Tuesday!

Today I am going to be talking about Mahogany Obsidian, which is technically a type of volcanic glass.

Obsidian comes in quite a few different forms, but Mahogany Obsidian is a beautiful variety with a chemical composition consisting primarily of SiO₂ (silicon dioxide). It can also contain iron oxides, along with small amounts of magnesium, calcium, sodium, and potassium, depending on where it is sourced.

Mahogany Obsidian is formed through volcanic activity and can be found in volcanic regions around the world, including the western United States, Mexico, Central and South America, Japan, Italy, and New Zealand. One of the things I find interesting about Mahogany Obsidian is that its beautiful reddish-brown coloring comes from iron oxide inclusions within the volcanic glass.

Because Obsidian is volcanic glass rather than a crystalline mineral, it has an amorphous structure and ranks approximately 5–5.5 on the Mohs hardness scale.

As far as physically cleaning Mahogany Obsidian, it is generally safe to use a small amount of water to remove dirt or debris. I personally don't recommend soaking it for prolonged periods. Instead, I recommend gently cleaning it with a damp cloth. For energetic cleansing, I like to use sage and then allow the stone to rest on selenite for additional cleansing and recharging.

Metaphysically, Mahogany Obsidian is associated with the Earth Star, Root, and Sacral Chakras and is often connected with the astrological signs Libra and Sagittarius.

Mahogany Obsidian is a wonderful stone to work with when you are looking to feel more grounded and secure. It is traditionally associated with releasing feelings of unworthiness and scarcity and can provide energetic support during times of grief or mourning. It is also associated with letting go of heartache and finding the strength to move forward from the past.

For energy workers, Mahogany Obsidian is often used as a protective and grounding stone. In metaphysical traditions, it is believed to help absorb negative energy and create an energetic barrier against unwanted influences.

If you are in need of strength, courage, or motivation, Mahogany Obsidian can be a wonderful stone to carry with you along your path. It can serve as a reminder to keep moving forward, recognize your own strength, and remain open to the opportunities that may appear along the way.

Have you ever worked with Mahogany Obsidian before? What has your experience with it been?

Good afternoon, everyone!

After keeping an eye on the weather and conditions throughout the day, I’ve decided to cancel tonight’s Community Sound Bath at Oasis Beach.

With the rain we received today and the heat and humidity that follows, I feel it would be best to hold off on tonight’s session and hopefully return next Monday with better conditions for everyone to comfortably enjoy the experience.

Thank you to everyone who has been following and supporting my Sound Bowl Mondays! I’ll continue to post updates about upcoming sessions here on my page.

I hope everyone has a peaceful evening, and I look forward to seeing you at a future Sound Bowl Monday!
