3 weeks with our sweet baby girl Violet Emmeline. She was born en caul at home in water after less than 2 hours of labor. She was 8lb 3oz. 🤍
I don’t share a whole lot of our normal, everyday life on here, but I wanted to share a little peek into these newborn days. 🥰
Since this is my 5th baby, I feel like I’ve learned just how FAST this season goes. Even though the days can feel long and fuzzy and the sleep deprivation is very real, I know how quickly I’ll look back and wonder where the time went.
So I’m trying to slow down and really savor it.
To give myself lots of grace. To give the bigger kids lots of grace. To let some things go and focus on the things that actually matter right now: nourishing myself, getting rest when I can, soaking up this baby, and being together as a family.
I’ve been loving all the extra reading time with my big kids lately, and I’ve even gotten to read a few books of my own that I’ve been wanting to finish.
If you’re in the thick of those newborn/new baby days right now, take it one day at a time, Mama. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You’ll find your rhythm. You’ll find your new normal.
And when it feels overwhelming, take a deep breath. Give yourself some grace. Breathe it all in.
Because as exhausting as it can be, this season is so, so fleeting.
You’ve got this, Mama. ✨💐
