Hello Peggy’s Family! This post is a long one! While negotiations are still occurring with RockStep Capital to purchase the mall, the remaining stores are almost all small businesses and gearing up for the holiday season. If supporting small businesses within the community isn’t your thing, you can stop reading and keep scrolling. For the ones that choose to support the local small business community, those of us in the Temple Mall that hang in there and hold on for a brighter tomorrow express our deepest appreciation. Some wonder why we don’t find a new location outside the mall. There’s many reasons, here are a few big but simple ones. It’s not as easy to pack up, move and restructure a business as some might think, and rent/expenses are higher than they’ve ever been at decent locations outside the mall. We’ve found a family within our mall community and we’ve also found success, even amidst the challenges. Please consider stopping by this month to shop for holiday gifts and experiences. Below is a list of the stores remaining within the mall space and a brief description of what they have to offer.
Cattleman’s Western Wear: Name brand western wear, men’s, women’s & children’s apparel, boots, cowboy hats, hat shaping, turquoise jewelry, Montana Silversmiths, Consuela bags, accessories and more, ALL competitively priced along with weekly specials.
FX Games: A treasure trove of video games, movies, music, memorabilia, electronics vinyl records, Funko pops, vintage toys and more. With their trade-in process there is always something new being added to inventory.
Candy & More: Offering a wide selection of candy in bulk or packaged options, plus gifts for all ages; plushies, toys, blind box figures, DIY booknooks, stocking stuffers, TikTok trending items and more.
Under My Skin: Temple’s first and only licensed body piercing studio, gift cards available. The retail store offers gifts and novelty items comparable to Hot Topic or Spencer’s. Find all kinds of fun items for white elephant exchange. Licensed Rock band tees, body jewelry, collectibles and more.

Peggy’s Coffee House: Peggy’s has a wide menu of options for a quick pick me up to keep you going and checking to-do’s off your list. You will also find unique gifts for the coffee or tea lover and an array of fresh bagged coffee to brew at home, share with family or give as a gift. Peggy’s was the first small business coffee shop in Temple to compete with Starbucks back in 2013. For those that made it this far, yes the mall will have a Santa this year. The company, Cherry Hill, that normally provides it opted out and we are working avidly to create a suitable replacement at a much lower cost than what Cherry Hill charged for photos.
