🌕✨ Moonlit Movement: Ecstatic Dance at Sunflower ✨🌻
What if movement didn't have to look a certain way?

What if there were no steps to learn, no choreography to memorize, and no expectation to perform?

Just music.
Just breath.
Just your body moving in whatever way feels true.

Join us for Moonlit Movement, a beginner-friendly evening of cacao, intention setting, embodiment practices, and ecstatic dance led by DJ Ebenflow. Whether you're completely new to ecstatic dance or have been exploring conscious movement for years, this gathering offers a welcoming space to reconnect with yourself through movement and community.

Ecstatic Dance is a judgment-free practice where you are invited to listen inward, move freely, and follow your own rhythm. Some people dance with wild abandon. Some sway gently. Some close their eyes and simply feel the music. There is no right way to do it.

🌙 No experience required
🌙 Substance-free environment
🌙 Come exactly as you are
🌙 Limited to 20 participants

If you've ever been curious about ecstatic dance, this is a beautiful opportunity to explore it in a supportive, intimate setting.

Whether you're looking for movement, rest, community, mindfulness, or simply a place to exhale, there is a space waiting for you at Sunflower.

✨ New this week: Our Wednesday evening class is now officially Yin Yoga — a slow, grounding practice where poses are held longer, allowing the body to soften and the nervous system to settle. If you've been craving less "doing" and more "being," this class was made for you.

🌿 Special Free Community Event — Father's Day
On Sunday evening, Thy Le will guide us through 108 Sun Salutations as a moving meditation on gratitude, resilience, and renewal.

Before you think, "There's no way I can do 108!" — know this:
There is no prize for reaching the number.
Some students may complete all 108.
Some may do half.
Some may rest often and simply participate in the energy of the room.

The invitation is not to push.
The invitation is to listen.

One breath.
One movement.
One moment at a time.

❤️ Most of all, we hope you'll come for the experience of practicing together.

At Sunflower, we believe yoga isn't about touching your toes. It's about coming home to yourself.

We can't wait to welcome you this week.

A gentle reminder:

You do not have to carry every thought.
You do not have to answer every demand.
You do not have to earn your worth.

Pause.

Place a hand on your heart.

Inhale ease and self-love.
Exhale anything that blocks you from your truth.

Come back to your center. 🤍

What if peace isn't something we need to create?
What if it's already here — waiting beneath the noise?

This week's blog explores Saucha, the first of the Niyamas in yoga philosophy. Often translated as purity or cleanliness, Saucha invites us to look beyond physical clutter and notice what may be crowding our minds, hearts, schedules, and attention.

The practice isn't about becoming perfect.
It's about creating space.

Space to breathe.
Space to listen.
Space to reconnect with yourself.
Space to experience life more fully.

As you move through this week, we invite you to pause for a moment and ask yourself:

✨ What is cluttering your experience of life?

Read through the carousel, then visit our blog for the full reflection.

🍃 The earth still knows how to slow us down.

The trail doesn't hurry.
The trees don't compare themselves.
The wildflowers don't wonder if they're doing enough.

Nature simply invites us back into relationship with the present moment.

Join us for a morning of yoga, hiking, community, creativity, and mindful connection.

We'll walk together.
Gather together.
Create together.
And perhaps remember something we've forgotten in the busyness of everyday life.

✨ What if the most healing thing you could do this weekend was... rest?

Many of us are carrying so much noise.
The endless to-do lists.
The constant notifications.
The stories, worries, and mental chatter that never seem to stop.

This Saturday evening, we're creating space to slow down and listen beneath all of that.

Listen Beneath the Noise: New Moon Yoga Nidra & Sound Bath
🌙 Saturday, June 13
⏰ 7:30–9:00 PM
📍 Sunflower Yoga Studio (Taylorsville)
💲 Only $24

If you've never experienced Yoga Nidra, it's often called yogic sleep — a deeply restorative guided meditation practiced while lying comfortably on the floor (or sitting in a chair).

There is no movement required.

You'll simply settle in, get comfortable, and be guided through a meditation designed to help quiet the mind, calm the nervous system, and invite deep rest.

Our evening will include:
✨ Gentle grounding and breathwork
✨ New Moon intention setting
✨ A 30-minute Yoga Nidra meditation
✨ A 45-minute crystal bowl sound bath
✨ Time to simply rest, receive, and reconnect

Many people leave Yoga Nidra feeling as though they've had hours of restorative sleep.

Bring anything that helps you feel comfortable—pillows, blankets, eye masks, fuzzy socks—or simply arrive as you are and use the studio's mats, bolsters, blankets, and props. Chairs are also welcome.

No experience with yoga, meditation, or sound baths is needed.

Sometimes clarity doesn't come from doing more.
Sometimes it comes from resting long enough to hear your own inner wisdom again.

🌙 We'd love to share this evening with you.

Not everyone who joins yoga teacher training wants to become a yoga teacher.

Some are seeking deeper understanding.
Some are navigating change.
Some are healers looking for additional tools.
Some simply feel a quiet pull toward something more.

As you swipe through these slides, notice what resonates.

If you see yourself here, Pathways to Peace may be worth exploring.

Yoga is more than the shapes we make on the mat.

The deeper practice is how yoga begins to shape the way we listen to our bodies, speak to ourselves, receive support, and move through the world with more compassion.

This week’s blog explores Ahimsa, the yogic practice of non-harming, through the lens of self-talk and self-compassion.

Ahimsa may show up when you choose Child’s Pose instead of pushing through.
It may show up when you reach for a block or blanket without judging yourself.
It may show up when you wobble in balance and meet yourself with kindness instead of criticism.

Because support is not failure.
Support is wisdom.

We invite you to read the full post and bring the practice of Ahimsa with you the next time you step onto your mat.
