Not every opinion deserves a seat in your mind.
Before you take advice or criticism to heart, ask yourself:

Does this person understand my situation?
Do they live in alignment with what they’re telling me to do?
Do they speak from care — or control, projection, or discomfort?

Wisdom isn’t about who speaks the loudest.
It’s about discernment.

You’re allowed to pause, reflect, and choose whose input actually gets to shape your life.

Self-gaslighting often begins as a survival skill.
When your reality has been dismissed, minimized, or rewritten enough times, you learn to do it to yourself.

Many survivors internalize the voices that once invalidated them — long after the relationship or situation ends. Learning to recognize this pattern is how you begin to rebuild trust with yourself.

Healing starts when you stop arguing with your own reality.

Real boundaries protect your peace.
Fake boundaries protect control.

Boundaries aren’t about managing other people’s behavior — they’re about choosing what you will and won’t participate in.
If a “boundary” demands obedience, compliance, or silence, it isn’t a boundary.

Healthy boundaries create safety, clarity, and respect — not fear, guilt, or power struggles.

The holidays can be a time of joy for some — but for many survivors, they can be one of the most dangerous times of the year.

Domestic violence often increases during the holidays due to added stress, financial pressure, increased substance use, isolation from support systems, and more time spent with an abusive partner or family member.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsafe, or trapped, please know:
You are not imagining it.
You are not overreacting.
You are not alone.

Help is available 24/7, free, and confidential:
