Today I’m remembering the babies lost and their families who hold them in their heart.
If you have experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss, or know someone who has, take a moment to post the baby’s name below.

You may also choose to light a candle tonight at 7pm as part of the Wave of Light time of remembrance for them.

May God transform pain into purpose and hurt into hope that multiplies.

What did you notice first when you looked at this pic taken from my backyard?

Dark clouds or blue sky?

Although I live in the desert, I enjoy rain and storms (not floods or tornados) so I have to admit I focused first on the dark clouds. Dark clouds alert me that a storm may be coming with a cool breeze and raindrops to refresh me. I’m enjoying the moment-it’s sprinkling.

What about you? Dark clouds or blue sky?
I’d love to hear why or share a oic of your sky.

Today marks the ending of a 7 year season of ministry with my Hope4U van. Given to me by friends, it was an answer to my prayers-a transportation miracle. I felt compelled to spread hope wherever I drove, so I ordered a custom plate.

A few weeks later, Covid hit.
“God, use me to encourage my community and provide $ for my family since my husbands company cut his income.”

God answered both of my prayers and expanded my van’s purpose by opening the door for me to became a food delivery driver. He prompted me to pray for every delivery and every person by name. My Hope4U van became a moving sanctuary. I experienced miles and hours of spending time with God, praying for my community and earning income to help my family. 5,420 personal prayers as a delivery driver during 2020-2023.

In 2023, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my van’s purpose enlarged to include many health appointments during my year long healing journey and spreading hope to the medical community.

I have too many Hope4U van adventures and divine appointments to share in this post. More stories may be coming in the future since I’ll be in my home office working and writing more.

Thank you God for delivering hope to me and others with the Hope4U van. May hope continue to multiply.

How has God used your car/truck/van to deliver hope? I’d love to hear.

Consider turning off the tunes or podcasts as you drive, and talk to God or pray for others this week.

“I’m sorry they dropped you at the wrong location. We don’t do radiation here.”

When I overheard the nurse’s words spoken to the woman in front of me in line, a wave of compassion hit me. What could I do to help?

While the nurse was on the phone attempting to contact the transport company who had stopped dropped and left, I walked up to the woman and I introduced myself. Amazingly, her name was also Kathy. We chatted a few minutes and then the nurse directed her to go outside and wait for her transportation company that would arrive in 30 minutes or more.

What else could I do?

I would have offered to drive her but I knew I couldn’t transport her chair. After my appointment I found her in the parking lot still waiting and offered her what I could- a bottle of water and a silent prayer. She smiled and thanked me.

Be alert to others in need and offer hope in a moment today.

How have you given or received hope in a moment? I’d love to hear.

Hospice and a cemetery stop were not part of my Saturday plans.

But God saw beyond my “to do”‘list to others in need of my time.

My plans started to shift during my morning coffee time with Him. Next to the date of my devotional reading I saw “Tom’s birthday” scribbled in my handwriting. This gentle reminder prompted me to send a quick ‘thinking of you and praying for you on Tom’s birthday’ text to his wife, Nancy, my widowed friend.

“Is there anyone else who needs encouragement today?” I prayed.

Mary’s name came to mind.

30 minutes later I walked into her hospice room as she slept and softly read aloud her favorite verses. I smiled when I saw her wearing the immeasurably more bracelet I’d given her to remind her that God is bigger.

When she woke up she told me about the workers and others she’d given bracelets to and asked me to pray for them.

Then my phone rang. It was Nancy. I’d forgotten to silence it, so I answered and put our call on speaker phone. Amazingly the three of us marveled at our unique sisterhood today as Mary recalled working with Tom years ago. Nancy chuckled with each memory. The three of us enjoyed a speaker phone time of prayer and before I left, Nancy invited me to join her at the cemetery just minutes away. She had planned to go earlier, but like me, God had changed her plans too.

So we went together to Tom’s grave then continued connecting over an unplanned lunch. Or perhaps that was God’s plan all along.

How has God changed your plans?

Be alert.

Ask Him to bring someone to mind today who needs encouragement and be willing to release your plans to follow His and watch Him do immeasurably more .
