Almost every athlete is now made to play year-round, with no consideration for recovery and overtraining. Almost half of all athletes will experience an overuse injury that could’ve been prevented. Doing cryotherapy sessions regularly has been shown to have positive effects on regulating hormone levels. In the picture above we list some of the benefits that cryotherapy can have on stress reduction, mood, focus, weight loss, etc. Our hormones play a huge role in our lives and at times become unbalanced, causing us to feel “off”. This post is from a thorough study regarding the benefits of red light therapy for muscle fatigue, muscle damage, delayed onset muscle soreness, muscle recovery, mass gain, oxidative stress defense, protein synthesis, increased strength, hypertrophy, reduced atrophy and inflammation.
