My name is Ben the Titan. I am a bisexual tattoo in the DMV area.
For pride this month, I’ll be releasing a pride themed flash every day and each pride piece has a story or a lesson I’ve learned in my journey, that goes with it. Story time:
Butterflies symbolize persevering through difficult challenges and times and coming out the other side stronger and more beautiful. When I was growing up I had so much trauma in my life that I couldn’t control and that I let shape my life and my choices. It wasn’t until I started to realize life happens and your reaction and how you deal with life is what makes you, you. The people that bully you for being different, don’t get angry at them, understand that they are doing that out of fear. Have sympathy for them and their life. Being different is what makes life worth living. During rough times, don’t forget who you are and remind yourself, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you will emerge a better person for it.

Story time:
So this piece is pretty basic. It’s a hot air balloon that is floating above everything else it says hope floats because realistically hope is what gets you through. Hope for better days has seen me through some of my worst times. Whenever I’m feeling down that small little feeling of hope that I can just make it to the next day and it will be better gets me through. This is really universal not just in the pride community, but just in general for mental health for physical exercise for everything . We always need to have hope. Hope for a better future, hope that tomorrow will be better, and hope that we’ll find happiness.

Hope helps us keep our head up when everything is going down. Hope helps us rise above those that are putting us down. Hope keeps the community alive.
