There are seasons in life when you can feel something shifting long before the words exist to explain it.⁣

For years, I have been quietly planting seeds, manifesting, dreaming big dreams, and trusting that the right opportunities would unfold at the right time. Lately, I’ve found myself reflecting on growth, sustainability, community, and what it means to create a life and career that can thrive for the long haul.⁣

The truth is, some of the most beautiful chapters begin before the page is turned.⁣

I don’t have all the details to share just yet, but I can tell you this: exciting things are on the horizon. Things I’ve been hoping, working, and praying for over many years.⁣

My heart is full of gratitude for every family, every baby, every student, every friend, and every person who has been part of this journey so far.⁣

A new chapter is coming soon, and I cannot wait to share it with you.⁣

✨ Stay tuned.⁣

This is such a beautiful and heartwarming glimpse into the heart of community midwifery.⁣

One of the greatest gifts of this work is being welcomed into the sacred rhythm of family life.⁣

During this prenatal visit, big sister helped listen to her baby sibling’s heartbeat. When Mom asked, “What does the baby sound like?” she smiled and answered, “Like a princess.” 💛⁣

These are the moments that stay with me.⁣

There is something truly special about receiving care in your own home—where little hands can help, where siblings are included, where everyone is comfortable, and where pregnancy, birth, and postpartum become woven into the fabric of everyday family life.⁣

It has been an honor to walk alongside this incredible family through pregnancy and into the beautiful transition of welcoming a new baby. The trust families place in me to share these intimate moments is something I never take for granted.⁣

The magic of home birth isn’t just the birth itself. It’s the prenatal visits filled with connection, the postpartum visits filled with newborn snuggles, and the opportunity for the whole family to be part of the journey from beginning to end.⁣

My heart is full of gratitude for the families who invite me into their homes and allow me to witness these precious moments. ✨⁣

To the mothers holding babies in their arms, the mothers growing life within, the mothers longing, waiting, grieving, healing, hoping, and becoming — today is for you. 🤍⁣

Motherhood is not defined by one path, one story, or one season. It is found in the fierce love, the quiet sacrifices, the endless nurturing, and the strength it takes to continue showing up with an open heart.⁣

To the expecting mothers preparing to meet their little ones, may you feel empowered and deeply supported.⁣

To the mothers raising babies, toddlers, children, and grown humans, may you remember how meaningful your presence is.⁣

To the mothers carrying babies only in their hearts, your love matters, your motherhood matters, and your babies are remembered.⁣

To those hoping and praying for motherhood, may you be wrapped in compassion and hope today.⁣

You are seen.⁣
You are worthy.⁣
You are doing sacred work.⁣

Happy Mother’s Day to every version of motherhood. 🌿⁣

My heart is so full thinking about all of the beautiful families growing within our care this year 🤍✨⁣

To each of our families currently on our calendar for 2026 — it is truly an honor to walk alongside you during such a sacred season. From first heartbeats to the moment you meet your baby, I don’t take a single step of this journey for granted. Watching your families grow is the greatest gift of this work. ⁣

To each of the repeat families in our care, including our tri-peat families, we love and adore you and are so incredibly honored to walk with you in your second and third pregnancies, labors, births, and postpartums. ⁣

With that said… we have just ONE remaining opening for a family due in December 2026 before our books officially close for the year. If you’ve been feeling the nudge to find your Midwifery or Monitrice care, this is your sign 💫⁣

I already find myself dreaming about all of the sweet 2026 and 2027 babies to come… the fresh beginnings, the tiny toes, the new stories waiting to unfold.⁣

Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for letting us be part of your story. It means everything 🤍⁣

Easter Sunday, and I’m witnessing new life in the most sacred way—supporting a mother as she brings her twins earthside. 🤍✨⁣

There’s something so powerful about this season… renewal, rebirth, and the quiet strength of motherhood. From the tender beginnings of pregnancy, to the intensity of labor, to the moment a baby takes their first breath—this work is sacred.⁣

Today, I’m holding space for a growing family, for a mother becoming more, for siblings meeting for the first time, and for the deep, transforming love that only birth can bring.⁣

Motherhood is the ultimate act of faith—trusting your body, your baby, and the unfolding of it all.⁣

Happy Easter from the birth space 🐣🌿⁣

Today we celebrate 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 — a day that honors the power, wisdom, and resilience of women everywhere.⁣

At Gea Midwifery, we have the sacred privilege of witnessing women in some of the most transformative moments of life. In pregnancy, in the intensity and surrender of labor, in the power of birth, and in the tender unfolding of postpartum and motherhood, we see every day what women are capable of.⁣

But this strength doesn’t belong only to the one giving birth. It lives in the mothers, the partners, the aunties, the sisters, the cousins, the grandmothers, the chosen family, and the friends who show up with steady hands and open hearts. It crosses every boundary — culture, background, identity, and experience — weaving us together in shared humanity and care.⁣

Today we honor the women who nurture life, who hold families together, who advocate, who lead, who love fiercely, and who rise again and again through every season.⁣

We are women. We may be different, but we all have the strength to shape our world and the resilience to rise together.⁣

To every woman walking the path of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, parenthood, or standing beside someone who is — we see you, we celebrate you, and we are endlessly inspired by you.⁣

Happy International Women’s Day. 🤍⁣

Seven years ago today, you chose the swiftest, surest way into my arms.⁣

38 weeks + 3 days.⁣
Three hours of labor.⁣
A birth that moved like it had somewhere important to be.⁣

You arrived quickly, confidently, surrounded by love in our home — as if you knew exactly who you were and how you wanted to enter this world. And that has been you ever since.⁣

Independent.⁣
Caring.⁣
Brilliant in ways that catch me off guard.⁣
Soft with animals and fierce with your opinions.⁣

You feel deeply. You love deeply. You stand firmly. The world needs girls who know who they are.⁣

You are my middle child — the bridge, the spark, the steady flame. You notice the small things. You protect what matters. You speak up when something isn’t right. And you love with your whole heart.⁣

Watching you grow is one of the greatest honors of my life.⁣

Happy 7th birthday, my swift and steady girl.⁣
You were born surrounded by love… and you continue to be. Always. 💜⁣

There is something so incredibly powerful about this moment. ✨⁣

A baby, freshly earthside, resting skin-to-skin on their mother… and the umbilical cord still pulsing with life between them.⁣

In pregnancy, this cord is baby’s lifeline. It forms early and does the quiet, faithful work of carrying oxygen, nutrients, hormones, antibodies, and love from mother to baby. Protected inside Wharton’s jelly and coiled in that beautiful spiral design, it resists compression and continues flowing even through the intensity of labor. It is brilliantly made.⁣

During birth, the cord is still working. Even as baby emerges and takes their first breaths, oxygen-rich blood continues to transfer from the placenta. This is not an emergency to rush. This is physiology.⁣

And in the immediate postpartum… it is still serving.⁣

That continued circulation helps:⁣
• Expand baby’s blood volume⁣
• Support iron stores⁣
• Stabilize blood pressure⁣
• Assist with a smoother cardiopulmonary transition⁣
• Deliver stem cells that support repair and adaptation⁣

The cord doesn’t abruptly stop at birth. It gradually finishes its sacred work. You can often see and feel it — thick, warm, and pulsing — slowly becoming soft and white as the transfer completes.⁣

Homebirth allows space for this. No rush. No immediate cutting. Just trust in the design. Baby on mama. Cord still connecting. The quiet hum of physiology unfolding exactly as it was meant to.⁣

The umbilical cord is not just tissue.⁣
It is protection.⁣
It is provision.⁣
It is transition.⁣
It is the bridge between two worlds.⁣

And witnessing it complete its work, uninterrupted, is nothing short of miraculous. 🤍⁣

🌩️✨ Strength, Power, and Becoming the Storm ✨🌩️⁣

Today’s affirmation is one that speaks to the deep, innate strength within every parent: I have witnessed this truth again and again throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and motherhood.⁣

🌊 In pregnancy, when your body is changing and the unknown feels loud, you are not overwhelmed by the transformation—you are the transformation.⁣

🌊 In labor, when intensity builds and waves come strong, you are not fighting the storm—you are moving with it, powerful and instinctual.⁣

🌊 In birth, when strength and surrender meet, you rise into a force that brings new life forward.⁣

🌊 In postpartum, when healing, exhaustion, and emotions swirl together, your resilience carries you through—steady, fierce, and evolving.⁣

🌊 In motherhood, when challenges arise and doubt tries to whisper, you stand rooted in the truth of who you are: strong, capable, and unbreakable.⁣

This affirmation reminds us that birth and motherhood do not happen to you—you meet them with courage, wisdom, and an inner power that has always been there. You are not here to endure the storm. You are here to embody it. 🌩️✨⁣

Let this affirmation anchor you in moments of doubt and rise within you when strength is needed most. You are powerful beyond measure—and always have been. 💛⁣
