Today's bake sale was a fantastic success, and we loved raffling off special goodies to the lucky winners who generously donated to the cause. We are proud to celebrate our Food & Nutrition Service team following Sodexo’s first Systemwide FSA Recognition Ceremony this week. In September 2022, NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln became the first site in the system to launch the FSA program, a key initiative connecting food service teams directly with patients to enhance meal selection, gather valuable feedback, and promote healthy, plant-based options. Leading by example, our Food & Nutrition Department also hosted and trained staff from across the health system to support other facilities preparing their own launches. Congratulations to all the honorees across the system for their continuous dedication to patient care and nutrition.

For Infection Prevention Week, we are recognizing the specific practices that keep our clinical environments safe—rigorous hand hygiene, proper PPE usage, and meticulous equipment sterilization to stop hospital-acquired infections before they start.

Leading this effort is our dedicated Infection Prevention Team at NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln. They are the experts behind the scenes who monitor safety data, develop essential clinical protocols, and provide the ongoing education that keeps our facility secure.

We also want to thank the entire Lincoln staff. From environmental services to our nurses and attending physicians, your daily ex*****on of these safety measures protects our patients and our South Bronx community.

Today, our staff came together to celebrate and enjoy a wonderful feast in honor of Italian heritage. It was a beautiful afternoon spent sharing great food, connecting as a team, celebrating the rich history, culture, and representation of the Italian American community.

You are invited to join us at the Lincoln Hospital Auditorium for a free class on preparing for emergencies! The NY Citizen Preparedness Training Program will teach you how to properly prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural or man-made disasters. The class takes place on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM at 234 E 149th Street, Bronx, NY 10451. Each attending family will receive one free preparedness kit!
