In response to our now deleted post..
Cowboy’s Tattoo was reopened in November 2015 after the passing of Cowboy, and for over SEVEN YEARS my husband and I have committed so much of our lives to the shop - especially the artists.
It is very hurtful and upsetting that a disgruntled former employee who we tried so hard to create success for took advantage of their access to our page and went to the extent of posting and insinuating she was mistreated/terminated for being pregnant and/or her attempts to provide for her child.
My husband and I are children, siblings, parents, and grandparents - just like nearly all of you. This is a FAMILY business. We would NEVER penalize an artist for starting a family, being pregnant, attempting to provide for their families, etc. But when we are trying to be available for our customers who are spending hours and $$ to ensure they make it to scheduled appointments, and the appointments have to then be cancelled over said artist insisting on doing work at a competing shop or consistently not showing up for work when customer’s are waiting at their scheduled times (unrelated to pregnancy), a business decision has to be made.
We consider our artists to be an extension of our own family, and many of them have been with us for YEARS - some even since we reopened in 2015. We always ensure they are well taken care of, but as a business we also have to ensure WE are taken care of..that our CUSTOMERS are taken care of.
We wouldn’t have grown to 3 shops throughout the metroplex in a span of 6 years (especially during COVID) if we were mistreating employees or customers.
I assure you this drama is not a true reflection of Cowboy’s Tattoo, and never will be.
We love you all and hope you have an amazing weekend!
