Every now and then, even the busiest bees need a chance to leave the nest and recharge.

This past week, The Hive traded rotor blades for ocean waves and headed to Destin, Florida for a family getaway filled with breathtaking sunsets, beautiful beaches, amazing food, and countless memories with the people who matter most. Not to worry though, the base was watched after by more than capable crews in our absence.

While we are passionate about serving our communities and answering the call 24/7, time spent with family and friends is what helps keep us strong, focused, and ready for whatever comes next.

From sandy toes and seafood dinners to unforgettable sunsets over the Gulf, this trip was a reminder that life’s greatest moments are often the simplest ones shared together.

Thank you, Destin, for the memories. Now it’s time for The Hive to head back home, refreshed and ready to serve.

🚁🐝 The Hive is deeply saddened to learn of the loss of a firefighter who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty in Rockdale County Yesterday.

Today, we stand alongside our brothers and sisters of the fire service as they mourn the loss of one of their own. Our hearts are with the firefighter’s family, friends, and the entire Rockdale County Fire Rescue family during this incredibly difficult time.

Please join us in keeping them in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the days ahead. May they find strength in one another, comfort in their community, and peace in knowing their loved one’s service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
