We were honored to welcome Congressman Rick Allen to Thomson Drug and have the opportunity to talk about the issues affecting our patients, our profession, and our community.

Independent pharmacies are on the front lines of healthcare every day, and it is important that the voices of our patients and communities are heard in Washington. We appreciated the opportunity to discuss the challenges facing community pharmacy, the impact those challenges have on patient access and prescription costs, and the need for meaningful PBM reform.

At Thomson Drug, advocacy is about more than protecting independent pharmacy — it’s about protecting our patients’ ability to receive affordable, accessible care from the pharmacy they know and trust.

We have been made aware that scammers are spoofing Thomson Drug’s phone number and calling local residents. These calls may appear on your caller ID as though they are coming from us, but they are NOT coming from Thomson Drug.

The callers may claim they can help you receive thousands of dollars and then ask for personal or financial information.

Please do not give them any personal, financial, insurance, or Medicare information.

If you ever receive a suspicious call that appears to be from Thomson Drug, hang up and call us directly at 706-595-6126.

Please share this post, especially with family members, friends, or neighbors who may be more vulnerable to phone scams. Help us spread the word and keep our community safe.
