Hype x Health Creating small habits to build stronger, healthier bodies.

Did you know your cholesterol panel can tell you a lot more than just your total cholesterol? šŸ‘€

This week I’ve been breaking down one of my favorite underrated health markers: your triglyceride-to-HDL ratio.

✨ Extra sugar can be converted into triglycerides.
✨ HDL is your body’s cleanup crew.
✨ Those two numbers together can give clues about insulin sensitivity and metabolic health.
✨ Sometimes the most important information isn’t the number your doctor circles first.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s understanding your numbers, making small changes, and improving over time. šŸ’Ŗ

šŸ“Œ Save this post so you can come back to calculate your ratio the next time you get labs done.

šŸ“¤ Share it with a friend or family member who has been told their cholesterol is ā€œfineā€ but has never looked at their triglycerides or HDL.

Have you ever calculated your triglyceride-to-HDL ratio? Drop your numbers below (Triglycerides Ć· HDL) and I’ll help you figure it out. šŸ‘‡

The picture on the left was before I started the Feel Great System.

A1C: 5.8

The picture on the right was after consistently following the protocol.

A1C: 5.4

That may not seem like a huge difference, but moving from the prediabetic range back into a normal range is a really big deal.

No extreme diets.
No cutting out entire food groups.
No spending hours in the gym.

Just small, consistent habits that helped me improve my blood sugar, energy, and overall health.

I’m still a work in progress, but seeing these numbers move in the right direction reminds me that what I’m doing is working.

✨ If you’re tired of feeling stuck and ready to improve your health from the inside out, send me a message with the word READY and I’ll share exactly what I did.

When I first started paying attention to my labs, I only looked at my total cholesterol. Turns out there was a lot more to the story.

My triglycerides have improved, my cholesterol is in a great range, and I still have work to do on my HDL. And that’s okay.

Health isn’t about perfect numbers. It’s about understanding your body, making small consistent choices, and moving in the right direction.

Progress > perfection.

Have you ever looked at your triglycerides before, or did you only pay attention to total cholesterol? šŸ‘‡

Most people know their weight.

Most people know their total cholesterol.

But very few people know their triglyceride-to-HDL ratio.

Mine is currently 2.58.

Is it where I want it to be? Nope.

Is it better than where I started? Absolutely.

That’s what this journey is about for me—progress, not perfection.

Save this graphic so you can calculate your own ratio after your next blood test and see where you stand. šŸ’œ

Apparently I signed up for the Perimenopause Premium Package without reading the fine print. šŸ™ƒ

The hot flashes, brain fog, random mood swings, belly fat, and 3 AM wake-up calls have been… memorable.

I’d like to cancel my subscription immediately, but my request keeps getting denied. šŸ˜‚

Most of us get our cholesterol results back and immediately look at one number: total cholesterol.

But what if that’s not the most important thing to focus on? šŸ¤”

Today I’m breaking down cholesterol in regular-person language and showing you why triglycerides and HDL may tell you a lot more about your metabolic health.

No medical degree required. Just a simple explanation from a former educator who loves making complicated things easier to understand. 😊

Have you ever looked at your lab results and had absolutely no clue what you were looking at? Drop a šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø below!

This week wasn’t perfect… and that’s exactly the point.

Between kindergarten celebrations, a 5th-grade culmination, preparing my daughters for their first trip abroad, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with being a mom, my routine looked very different than usual.

But for the first time, I didn’t label myself a failure because life got busy.

I still focused on protein. I still prioritized fiber. I still made choices that supported my goals. And yes… I also ate more ice cream than usual. šŸ¦šŸ˜‚

The biggest win wasn’t what happened on the scale—it was learning to give myself grace.

Because real health isn’t about being perfect. It’s about staying committed even when life doesn’t follow your plan.

What’s one area of your life where you could give yourself a little more grace this week? ā¤ļø

I’m not a runner.

In fact, if you told me a year ago that I’d be doing 1-minute sprints between sets, I would’ve laughed and gone back to my comfy spot on the couch. šŸ˜‚

But here’s the thing: just because you can’t do something today doesn’t mean you can’t do it tomorrow.

The body follows where the mind leads.

Every walk, every workout, every healthy choice is a vote for the person you’re becoming. You don’t have to be great to start. You just have to start.

Today it was 1-minute sprints.
Tomorrow? Who knows.

The only thing I refuse to do is let my current abilities define my future potential. šŸ’ŖāœØ

What’s something you can do today that you couldn’t do a year ago?

06/10/2026

Some days lunch is at my kitchen table. Some days it’s in my car between errands. šŸš—šŸ’Ø

That’s why I love having simple habits I can take anywhere.

Before my meal, I mix up my Balance and Stronghold, then enjoy a protein-packed lunch without overthinking it. No perfection. No fancy setup. Just consistency.

The biggest changes in my health didn’t come from doing things perfectly—they came from doing small things consistently, even on busy days.

If you could try one, which would it be: Balance, Stronghold, or both? šŸ‘‡

I was convinced I needed a nap today. 😓

But after arguing with myself for way too long, I finally got up, put on an episode of Off Campus, and walked on the treadmill.

Funny thing? I finished with MORE energy than I started with.

Turns out movement helps increase blood flow, oxygen delivery, and those feel-good brain chemicals that boost mood and energy. Sometimes we’re not tired—we’re just under-moved. šŸš¶ā€ā™€ļøāœØ

šŸ‘‡ Be honest: When you’re tired, do you choose a nap or a walk?
