Explore local services, meet community partners, and learn about Momentum's Pediatric Programs, including Applied Behavior Analysis services, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Early Intervention, Early Head Start, and Social Skills & Community Integration. Our dedicated teen volunteers are paired one-on-one with campers, becoming their ā€œbuddiesā€ as they experience activities, adventures, and plenty of fun together.

Their encouragement and enthusiasm help create an environment where campers can participate in activities adapted to their individual needs.

Since 1998, Camp Escapades has created opportunities for children with developmental disabilities to play, explore, connect, and make summer memories in a safe and encouraging environment.

This year, more than 87 children had the opportunity to take part in the Camp Escapades experience, enjoying activities thoughtfully adapted to their individual needs and abilities.

Each smile, new experience, friendship, and moment of fun is a reminder of why Camp Escapades continues to be such a meaningful summer tradition.

Today, on National Nonprofit Day, we celebrate the power of community and the difference we can make when we come together. At Momentum, that spirit of community helps us empower individuals, strengthen connections, and create opportunities across Southern California and beyond.

It all started with a simple "yes."

What began as a volunteer opportunity has grown into years of service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to Momentum's mission.

Since discovering Momentum Valley Village through the Encino Chamber of Commerce, Mark Levinson has rarely missed a Super Saturday. Along the way, he has shared his time and talents through community integration activities, fundraising events, and leadership, serving on Momentum's Board of Directors and as president of the Valley Village Foundation.

When asked what keeps him coming back, Mark's answer is simple:
"The services are lifesaving. It's the impact on the families, the peace of mind of knowing their children are receiving excellent care."

His favorite part of every event? Sitting with the individuals we support.
"It makes me happy to spend time with them, help when they need it, and support the staff."

Accessibility helps make community events more welcoming for everyone, and we're proud to help make that possible.

At the annual Conejo Valley Days fair, Momentum Refresh provided a fully accessible restroom and full-sized changing space, giving families and community members the support they needed to enjoy the festivities with comfort and dignity.

A special thank you to the City of Thousand Oaks - Local Government for supporting accessibility and inclusion and helping make this valuable resource available to the community.
