There are a lot of ticks out right now! So be sure to check!!

When a tick bites, it does not hurt. It will stay attached for several days as it swells up with blood. An infected tick must be attached for 24+ hours before the Lyme disease bacterium can be transmitted in most cases. Avoiding tick bites and quickly removing ticks are the best ways to prevent infection!

We’re incredibly grateful that WOOD TV8 anchor Tom Hillen is doing well after the seizure and sudden cardiac arrest he suffered last week. Thanks to the quick action of his coworkers, Rachael and Elisia, he received life-saving CPR and is already back in studio.
