Gemma Marschke is a 500 hour Certified Yoga Teacher through The SamYoga Institute of Columbus, Ohio and is an E-RYT500hr Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Therapeutic yoga is known to reduce stress, relieve pain, increase mobility/flexibility, improve overall physical and mental health. Gem Yoga classes are taught with the individual student's needs in mind through a combination of asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), relaxation, and meditation.

Amanda Byrd and I traveled to Columbus last night for a much needed mental reset.

This experience was everything we expected and more. I can only describe it as feeling as though we were immersed in a collective meditation, eyes wide open, traveling through body and soul toward enlightenment.

We spent another hour or so afterward, digesting and discussing our experience. If you have the opportunity to attend one, you will not be disappointed. ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

We not only digest food and drink, we digest information and emotions.
If we overload the mind with negativity, ours or someone else's, we're essentially poisoning ourselves.
Is it reasonable to believe that negativity can be completely avoided? No.
We can, however, choose to lessen our exposure to that which cultivates fear, anger, sadness and anxiety and focus more on what brings us feelings of peace and happiness.
