Dr. Boone will be providing in-house, immediate care for pregnant women during labor and delivery.

After earning her medical degree from Mercer University in Macon, Dr. Boone completed OB/GYN residency training at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta.

Learning about nursing is more fun when you get to see it in action! 🩺💙

Tift Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Department and Pediatrics teams recently visited G.O. Bailey Elementary School for Kindergarten Community Helper Day.

Nurse Managers Destiny Garmon, RN, and Jennifer Yancey, RN, taught students the “ABCs of nursing” and walked them through what happens during a visit to the Emergency Department and a hospital stay. Students even got to learn about checking vital signs!

The team also shared some of the special ways our Pediatrics staff and Child Life Specialist help make a hospital visit a little less scary for our youngest patients.

Thank you to G.O. Bailey Elementary for inviting us! The students had some great questions and definitely kept our nurses on their toes. 😊

Many Tift County residents have been asking, “What is being built on Old Ocilla Road northeast of the hospital?” This 20,000-square-foot facility will be a new storage warehouse for Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC). It will also house a new office for the hospital’s Emergency Management Officer. Currently, TRMC leases a couple of warehouse buildings for storage. A new warehouse is needed to accommodate the hospital’s growth, to offer closer proximity to a storage facility, and to save on rent expense. This project is expected to be completed in November 2026.
