Today is National Women's Health and Fitness Day — a great reminder that it's never too late to invest in your health, at any age or stage of life.

A few stats worth knowing: heart disease remains the #1 cause of death for women, responsible for roughly 1 in 5 female deaths nationwide, yet only about half of women recognize it as their top health risk. The good news? Just 150 minutes of physical activity a week — as little as 20-30 minutes a day — can make a meaningful difference in heart health, strength, and mood.

Whether it's a walk around the neighborhood, a stretching class, or dancing in the kitchen, every bit of movement counts. Here's to the women in our lives — residents, team members, caregivers, and friends — who inspire us to keep moving. 🌸

This morning as part of this years’ Hahira Honey Bee Festival, we were able to join the Hahira Lions’ Club for this year’s Stride Senior Walk. Teaming up with Lowndes Co EMS, Fire, the Hahira Lions’ Club, and the Hahira Mayor (Terry Davis) to bring awareness on diabetes and local resources to the local community!
