Your gut decides how much estrogen you recycle.
After your liver packages up used estrogen for removal, it travels through your gut. Certain gut bacteria can unpack it and send it back into circulation. Scientists call this collection of bacteria the
estrobolome.
A struggling gut can mean more estrogen recirculating, longer. A diverse, fiber-fed gut helps clear it out.
Try this week: aim for 30 different plants (vegetables, fruits, herbs, beans, nuts, seeds) and 25-35 grams of fiber a day. Two tablespoons of ground flaxseed is an easy start.
