Just last month, President Trump hinted that a decision on cannabis could come within the next few weeks, House lawmakers have gone a step further—introducing a bill that would not only reschedule cannabis, but remove it entirely from the Controlled Substances Act.

This would shift cannabis from being federally prohibited to federally regulated, opening the door to legal sales across the nation while also addressing past convictions.

While the outcome is still uncertain, this moment highlights the two possible paths ahead:

✅ Rescheduling (moving cannabis to Schedule III)

✅ Full descheduling (removing cannabis entirely and creating a new federal framework)
