Serenity Salon opens its doors again on May 15th YAY!!!
The salon has been completely disinfected, from the steam cleaned floors to the ceiling, and everywhere in between. Ready for our reopening!
The salon will look a little different, as we have installed barriers between all stylist chairs, dryer chairs, shampoo bowls and nail stations. We are lucky with the way the salon is set up. With 3 separate hair styling rooms as well as 5 separate studios all of us will limited to being around the number of people in each room.
2 stylist and 1 nail tech have decided not to return, or retire, because of concerns about the virus, and the measure that will have to be taken. So if you haven’t heard from your professional, they will be reaching out to you. I know how heartbreaking this news is. We will try our hardest to accommodate their clients as best we can.
The waiting room now has only 6 chairs in it, all at least 6ft apart, however it is not recommended that they be used unless you are a caretaker or parent of a young child being serviced. We are not allowed to provide beverage service, mints or magazines at this time. Instead we will provide hand sanitizing stations and lots of them!!! lol!
Retail will still be able to be purchased however one of the staff will get it off the shelf for you. Limiting the number of hands touching surfaces that need to be sanitized.
We have taken many precautions to insure the safety and health of everyone who works or visits our salon in this “new normal” time. The Governor and our state board have given some guidelines. Our salon has decide to go a few steps further. Here are the main steps we are taking:
We will be arriving early each day to sanitize everything we did the nite before again. Also we will have our own temperature taken when we walk in the salon.
We have established the time from 9-10 am daily for elderly and high risk clients.
Please stay in your car when you arrive to salon. Text or call your professional and they will tell you if they are ready for you. Please wear a ear loop mask. If you do not have one we will have hand made ones for purchase and keep or disposable ones for purchase. Your professional will meet you at the front door and take your temperature. At this time, any one with a temperature of 99.5 will be asked to reschedule. So please if you are not feeling well or have been around anyone who’s sick, please reschedule.
Please bring in only the necessary items in with you, to limit the spread of germs. Feel free to bring your own beverage and reading material.
You will be given hand sanitizer or you can wash your hands in the restroom after depositing your belonging at the station.
Masks will need to be worn by everyone at all times, except for skin or waxing services.
Some stylists have concerns about blow drying, so you may be asked to skip that part of the service if it isn’t essential for the service. Same for waxing, your professional my decide to skip that service at this time. Also there will no talking while being shampooed or blow dried. This will further inhibit the spread of germs.
We will be disinfecting every surfaced touched before and after each client with a professionally made disinfectant especially for salons. The staff will also be cleaning and disinfecting all high touch areas in the salon throughout the day. All of these steps are essential to keeping everyone healthy. This will take extra time so please be patient.
I have on order a no touch hand soap and hand sanitizers that will be placed in the restrooms as well as thru out to salon.
Also we will not be double booking at this time to limit the number of people in the salon at any given time.
We will have a vast supply of hand sanitizer. Both for use in the salon and to purchase.
We are doing all of this to keep everyone as safe as we can. Thank you for understanding, and accepting these new guidelines. None of them will matter, once you are back in the chair with your favorite hairdresser, nail tech and skin care professional.
If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to your professional or the Salon.
We so look forward to seeing everyone soon.
