Chucks lung transplant As of May 28th 2019, Charles has been added to the transplant list for a double lung transplant. he is down to less than 15% lung function.

He was diagnosed in his 30s with COPD, which has progressed dramatically within the last couple years.

PFT numbers have been dropping for the last few months so I had to go see the DR’s. I still feel fine so that has them worried about rejection or infection. I have to go get a bronchoscope and biopsy. Praying everything is good.

Today is the day that I had my transplant 6 years ago. I would like to thank god , my donor and their family for the gift. I would also like to thank my family for all of their support. It has been an amazing six years. I have got to see three more grandchildren and one more great grandson arrive to this world. I watched one of my grandsons become a cardiac surgeon. And all my grandchildren grow. I have moved back to My home in Toledo so I will be closer to my family and friends. It has been an amazing six years. I hope for many more. I love you all!
