Dear Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley along with each and every paid official or elected in the State of Oregon.
Many know me already from a lifetime of activism yet few ever concerned themselves nor had answers. Yesterday 5-14-26 I sat on 8 hour zoom with Oregon DEQ. I was appalled at the concerns we all should have for Boardman, Port of Morrow and Umatilla watersheds and the fact it is poison.
To hear from community members after hours of awards jokes and focus on financials,only to then hear from the few true families that have no water that bothered to show up. One was a grandmother well user who has her heath effected and in fear for any family to be exposed, another mother who moved to 5acres to build her dream. She was educated in habitat and the waters and moved to raise a family. Tried placing a well and nitrogen was off the charts so she began her journey to bottled water but assumed she was the only one. 5 years later the truth was out and there are many many that were harmed from never knowing. BUT YOU ALL DID and said not one word, just like you did to my family in Toledo Oregon.
Then to add insult to injury and decades of harm, Oregon DEQ testifies they received $890,000,000 settlement with Monsanto for our exposure to their deadly pesticides and herbicide Roundup and all they are doing is collecting interest while we beg for water testing below clearcuts being sprayed still to this very day. I receive FERN notices and your about to do this time of year. Road sprays across every watershed everywhere.
Is this not criminal? To know you have caused harm yet as long as you receive money, we look the other way. PAY TO PLAY
Add the Port of Morrow and its choice of filthy industries they throw their doors open to and Umatilla weapons depot. Who and what are you doing?
These Data centers are causing nitrogen to rise and not a word of how to clean up the mess.
2 years ago I called Umatilla tribe economic development with suggestions of planting H**p to maybe restore waters and build houses. 8 hours and not one idea or report as to what can be done besides deliver water or reverse osmosis systems. YOU CAN NOT SUPPORT LIFE ON DISTILLED WATER> you become dehydrated. I know as I sit here over 20 years on bottled water due to a contaminated well placed for my elderly parents in about 2004. It almost killed my youngest daughter and NO ONE CARED. you all were informed for over 20 yrs of your incompetence in water protection.
What is your plan from here because the next 7 generations and all that depend upon her waters has the answer. NO DATA CENTERS we will not survive your further greed and profit off our misery and illnesses while you isolate yourselves through LLC and Non profit scams to bleed off our taxes and this $890.000.000 settlement. We need testing of the waters and a future that says what will this do 7 generations from now. We don't have to know the answer but we know this technology and extraction dependent renewal scam is not Green. We turned toward a plant that may heal our health but much much more as fiber and oils. Where is h**p batteries and why did these sunny states refuse to allow hooking their solar into the grid but let Rye Corporation violate Treaty law and none of this is USA technology. You let greed feed policy.
Trump is not the only one failing our future, you all seem to be blinded by greed. This silencing community members by Timberunity run good ole boys in City hall iof Toledo and Lincoln County is also criminal so if I say in anger they don't know S**T I mean exactly that,. no excuse but my constitutions freedom of speech so I suggest those who can, grow some balls. You expect after 20 yrs breathing and drinking poison should continue to be a profit while allowing it in our childrens air, water and entire food system for all life here in the good ole USA. Georgia Pacific and Weyerhauser owns these people and policy for decades to our detriment
No more abuse of the waters and forests until we rethink who owns us all?
