Diabetes Youth Services had such a wonderful time cheering on the Mud Hens, spending time with our DYS families, and making memories together. There’s nothing better than sunshine, baseball, and the incredible DYS community all in one place! 🥰

Camp may only last a few days, but what our campers take home lasts so much longer! More confidence. More memories. Friendships that started on the playground, on the field, or during a lunchtime laugh. And the reminder that they never have to navigate life with type 1 diabetes alone!

Little Shots Camp is full of the moments that might seem small at the time, but become the stories campers tell for years to come. It’s trying something new, cheering on a friend, and realizing there’s a whole community of people who get it.

We’re incredibly grateful for every camper who made Little Shots MI Camp what it was, and for the families, volunteers, medical staff, counselors, and supporters who make this experience possible year after year. Until next summer Little Shots!

Year after year, we watch Little Shots Camp become a place our campers know they can call their own. A place where little moments become big memories, new friendships begin, confidence grows, and every camper gets to be surrounded by people who truly understand what life with type 1 diabetes looks like.

Little Shots OH Camp is a place where campers can try something new, cheer each other on, be themselves, and discover that they are part of a community that gets it. Watching our campers laugh, learn, explore, and make new friends is something we never take for granted.

We are so thankful for every camper who brought their own energy and excitement to camp, every family who trusted us with their little one for the week, and every volunteer, medical staff member, counselor, and supporter who helped run the week and make camp feel so special!

Thank you for an unforgettable week of firsts, friendships, and fun! We can’t wait to make more memories with you next year!

We could not be more grateful to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio for helping break down barriers so our out-of-town families can give their Little Shots campers a once-in-a-lifetime camp experience!

Year after year, their incredible generosity helps make camp accessible for families who otherwise might not be able to attend, ensuring every child has the opportunity to build confidence, create lifelong memories, and connect with others living with type 1 diabetes.

For many children living with Type 1 diabetes, Little Shots Camp is the first place they meet another child just like them.

It's where confidence grows.
It's where lifelong friendships begin.
It's where they discover they are never alone.

For more than a decade, Ronald McDonald House Northwest Ohio has partnered with Diabetes Youth Services to remove one more barrier for families traveling to camp, providing a place to stay so children can experience everything Little Shots Camp has to offer.
