If you’ve ever noticed tiny hairs “shooting out” or smelled burnt hair during your laser treatment… that’s actually a good sign. 👏 this is my FAVE part of laser hair reduction treatments.

The laser targets the pigment in your hair follicle. As the energy travels down the hair shaft, it heats and damages the follicle. During this process, some of the treated hairs are singed and may literally pop or eject from the skin.

This means the laser is interacting with the hair exactly as it’s designed to. 🔥

A few things to know:.
• You may continue to “shed” treated hairs over the next 1–3 weeks.
• Shedding is completely different from new hair growth. The treated hairs are simply working their way out of the skin.

So if you hear a tiny snap, catch a whiff of burnt hair, or notice little hairs on the treatment bed afterward… don’t panic.
