As most of you have heard, a horrific and brutal attack recently occurred right here in Tomah. What many of you may not know is that not only did this happen directly across the street from our home, but the victim, Beckie, is our cousin. She's our family. ❤️
What happened to Beckie is absolutely unimaginable. No one should ever have to endure the violence and trauma she has experienced, especially in the safety of their own home.
Beckie is incredibly fortunate to be alive, but she has a very long and painful road to recovery ahead of her. With multiple surgeries, countless medical appointments, and injuries that prevent her from working, she has enough to worry about without the added financial burden.
She's not asking for much. We're simply trying to raise enough money to cover her homeowner's insurance deductible for the damage and cleanup of her home, along with gas and travel expenses to get her to the medical appointments she desperately needs, some of which are hours away.
My heart absolutely breaks for her and her children. 💔
