✨ Creating Sacred Space ✨

This morning I’m making preparations for Saturday’s Creating Sacred Space class and gathering the supplies that each participant will take home. 🕯️🌿

We’ll explore how sacred space has been created and used in cultures around the world—and, more importantly, why we create it.

We’ll talk about what sacred space actually is, different approaches to creating it, and a simple way to remember the steps so you can begin incorporating the practice into your own life.

And here’s something I really want to emphasize:

There isn’t one “right” way to create sacred space.

Even within Indigenous cultures, where there are hundreds of distinct tribes and traditions, practices and teachings can vary greatly. The same is true across Celtic, South American, earth-based, and other spiritual traditions.

When we learn about these different ways of creating sacred space, we aren’t cosplaying another culture or pretending that we can replicate a sacred tradition exactly as it has been practiced by someone else.

Instead, we’re learning about the principles, intention, reverence, and meaning behind these practices—and using that knowledge to thoughtfully create a practice that feels authentic to us.

This class is about curiosity, respect, intention, and finding your own relationship with sacred space. 🌿✨

Whether you’re preparing to learn Reiki, exploring earth-based spirituality or shamanic practices, or simply want to create a more intentional space in your home, there’s something here for you.

I’ve been thinking a lot about something lately, and I want to say it honestly.

I’m a firm believer that we all do better when we support each other. Cream rises to the top together. ✨

Sometimes, though, the need for a small business to survive and thrive can pull us into a place of competition. And if I’m being completely honest… that energy feels gross to me. It’s not an energy I want to sit in.

So when I feel myself moving into that space, I tend to quietly step back.

Instead, today I want to do something different. I want to spotlight the amazing businesses in our community and remind you that you have choices. You don’t have to choose one of us. You can support all of us. You can find the people, practices, and spaces that resonate with you.

🌱 Empower Yoga is wonderful if you’re looking for consistency in your yoga practice. If a home practice and an occasional in-person class aren’t quite meeting your needs, they offer daily classes with a variety of instructors and styles.

🌿 Rennew is a beautiful option if you’re looking for overnight retreats, EMF services, or the opportunity to experience a variety of practitioners gathered together in one space.

✨ And then there’s Golden Soul Healing.

We’re just me and my husband, Travis. Two people who genuinely love what we do and love serving this community.

Our Sound Bath Experiences are intentionally different. We bring a large and diverse collection of instruments into the room—including five gongs from around the world, a beautiful collection of antique singing bowls, crystal bowls, handmade drums, chimes, and so much more.

We’re both Reiki Masters, and I’m a Reiki Master Teacher. We believe deeply that continuing education is part of honoring the people who trust us with their healing journeys. That’s why we’re both currently continuing our training toward becoming Karuna Holy Fire Reiki Master Teachers.

At Golden Soul Healing, we offer:

What does creating sacred space actually mean? And how can you use it in your everyday life?

This class is for anyone who is:

🌿 Preparing to learn Reiki
🌙 Curious about earth-based spirituality or shamanism
✨ Interested in learning how to intentionally create and protect sacred space
🏡 Wanting tools for clearing and resetting the energy in their home
💫 Looking for ways to support their Reiki, yoga, sound healing, meditation, or other holistic practices

We’ll talk about what sacred space is, why we create it, and different methods you can use to intentionally set sacred space—whether you’re preparing for a healing session, gathering with others, beginning your personal practice, or simply wanting to shift the energy in your home.
