Heading to Sydney for the SRS Annual Meeting 2026 🇦🇺 and a very special milestone — graduation from the SRS LEAD 2025–2026 Program.

It has been a great experience being part of the Scoliosis Research Society’s Leadership, Education and Development program, connecting with colleagues from around the world, exchanging ideas and learning from inspiring leaders in our field.

🌎 When a company with the reach of Costco shines a light on scoliosis, it matters.

A heartfelt thank you to Costco and Costco Connection for bringing scoliosis into the public conversation in its October 2026 issue. Corporate platforms of this scale have an extraordinary ability to help families recognize that scoliosis deserves attention and that our understanding of this condition and its treatment continues to evolve.

For those of us working in scoliosis care, this kind of visibility complements the work being done every day by organizations such as the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), whose mission centers on fostering optimal care for people with spinal deformities through research, education, and the dissemination of new knowledge.

Awareness creates responsibility for healthcare professionals, too!!!

As research advances our understanding of scoliosis across the lifespan, from the growing adolescent to adults with idiopathic and adult degenerative curves, physical therapists and PTAs increasingly need current education that moves beyond simply recognizing a curved spine.
