Today is a milestone we’ve been waiting for: Adalyn’s chemo port is being removed!!! This little device carried her through every treatment, every long day, every victory. Removing it means her body no longer needs it — a huge sign of healing and hope.

She’s stronger than she knows, and we're so grateful for how far she's come. And, of course, for all of you who have supported us along the way. Today is a day for celebration!

Update on our sweet girl 💕

She is doing well and continues to make great progress. She goes to Geisinger periodically for routine port flushes, which are just regular maintenance for her port. She has been dealing with frequent UTIs related to the tumor, but she is now seeing urology to help get that under control.

The best news is that since finishing chemotherapy, she has grown in leaps and bounds and is thriving. We are so grateful for her care team and all of the continued love, prayers, and support. 💗

🎉♥️ We just got the best news — Adalyn’s biopsy shows that the chemotherapy worked perfectly!

There are no live cancer cells left!!! The tumor is dead! She’ll continue to have MRIs every three months for the next two years just to keep a close eye on things, but for right now… ADALYN IS CANCER-FREE! ♥️

🌟 Big News! 🌟

We are beyond proud to share that Adalyn Johnson will be the Grand Marshal at tonight's Towanda’s 98th Annual Halloween Parade! 🎃👑

At 7pm tonight, our community will come together on Main Street to celebrate Halloween the old-fashioned way—and to honor Adalyn as she leads the parade with love and light.

Let’s show up in full force to cheer her on and make this a night to remember! 💜

10/22 SURGERY UPDATE: The tumor on Adalyn's pelvis was successfully removed!!!! As for the tumor located on her spine, they removed her coccyx (bottom piece of her spine) to more easily get to that tumor. As expected, there was a lot of scar tissue and fluid build-up from the chemotherapy. The surgeon drained the fluid and then took a small piece of the tumor/scar tissue for biopsy. He did not try to remove that tumor, nor does he feel it is safe to do so. The biopsy results will determine whether there are any active cancer cells remaining in that tumor/scar tissue. Those results aren't expected until early next week.

So we're breathing a huge sigh of relief!!! The surgery went well. Adalyn is back home with her family. And she continues to amaze us with a spirit that simply refuses to be broken. She's our rock star! 🤩

The Alpha Kappa Lamba Fraternity at California University of PA is sponsoring a benefit for Adalyn. Evan, Adalyn’s Uncle, is attending school there, pursuing a B.S. Degree in Education.

You can purchase a wristband for $5.00. The entire amount will be donated to Adalyn’s family. Evan will bring the wristbands home with him and announce where they can be picked up.
