Fireworks can be exciting for us... but not always for our pets. š¶š±
If your dog starts pacing, your cat disappears under the bed or everyone seems a little extra clingy this time of year, you're definitely not alone.
One of my favorite ways to help create a peaceful environment is by diffusing calming essential oils before the fireworks or storms begin.
Some of my favorite diffuser blends include:
Calm Before the Boom
2 drops Lavender
2 drops Copaiba
1 drop Vetiver
Peaceful Evening
2 drops Roman Chamomile
2 drops Lavender
1 drop Balance
Grounded & Calm
3 drops Balance
2 drops Copaiba
Every pet is unique. When diffusing around animals:
š¾ Diffuse in a well-ventilated room.
š¾ Always allow pets to leave the room if they choose.
š¾ Start with fewer drops than you would normally use.
š¾ Watch your pet's behavior and discontinue use if they seem uncomfortable.
I also like to start diffusing 30-60 minutes before fireworks or thunderstorms whenever possible, rather than waiting until my pets are already startled.
