At some point, it hits you.

Health isn’t what you squeeze in after work.

It’s not what you circle back to when things “settle down.”

It’s not just sleep, food, or movement.

It’s how you… show up in a meeting.
It’s how you… respond when your kid melts down.
It’s how you… breathe when the day gets loud.

Clear mind.
Calm nervous system.
Steady energy.

It's the foundation.
Here's a reminder...
Health isn’t a thing you check off.

It’s the way you live.

Some days, getting started feels hard.

So don’t start with the whole project.

Start with your breath.

Inhale like it’s the first one.

Exhale like it’s a clean slate.

Because every breath is a beginning...especially the next one.

Use it to reset your energy.
Use it to get back in your body.
Use the vidaBALL as your guide.

Before you make another September to-do list, clear a little space first.

Pick 3 open loops:

• Send the email you keep avoiding.
• Put an actual date on the thing that’s been floating around.
• Delete, delegate or decline one thing that doesn’t need to be yours.

Unfinished tasks take up more mental space than we realize.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your energy isn’t adding another healthy habit.

It’s carrying less into tomorrow.

Back-to-school season is A LOT.

Early mornings, traffic, more on the schedule.

Sometimes, it's even more of “where is your other shoe?”😉

And when we get busy, health habits are usually the first thing we make harder.

What if we did the opposite?

If you know you're gonna have a busier week...
Shrink the habit.

Maybe walk for 5 minutes, stand for the call, drink the water that’s already on your desk.

You could 'just' make the healthy choice small enough to survive a busy season.

That feeling that you’re behind?

We feel it too...

School schedules shift.
Work keeps moving.

All of a sudden, everything feels urgent.

But it's not.

So if today feels like a lot..

Pick the thing that matters most.

Do that next.

Is it possible to walk into work and NOT immediately open email?

What if you took 5 minutes to decide...

What are the 3 things that actually matter today?
Just three priorities before everyone else gets access to your attention.

I hear a lot about lack of employee engagement in wellness.

Why didn’t they log in?

Why didn’t they complete the challenge?

Why didn’t they use the app?

Why didn’t more people participate?

But I think there’s another question worth asking:

How easy did we make it for them to participate?

Employees are already working with full calendars, deadlines, meetings, caregiving, commutes, and constant digital noise.

Then, we hand them one more thing to do for their health.

What if wellness worked differently?

Bring movement into the meeting.

Put the stress reset at the desk.

Create experiences people actually want to attend.

Give them tools that are simple enough to use in real life.

Maybe better engagement doesn’t begin by asking employees to try harder.

Maybe it begins by removing the friction.

Make the healthy choice easier to make.

You gotta "believe" to receive, right?😉

I'm going for the national win this time🙌🏽

On September 23rd, I’ll be taking the stage as a semi-finalist in the WBEC Greater DMV Powerplay Pitch Competition, pitching the vidaBALL® alongside nine other women-owned businesses.

The vidaBALL began with asking this question...

How do we make it easier for someone to use their breath when stress is high and thinking clearly is hard?

That question became a patented product.

And now, I get to stand in front of a panel of corporate judges and make the case for where it can go next.

The winner moves on to compete in the WBENC National Competition, so yes, I would LOVE a cheering section. 😊

Sometimes stress looks like a clenched jaw OR raised shoulders OR shallow breathing.

Give yourself a little check-in:

Notice what and where you’re holding.
Then let a little of it go.
One slower breath.
One shoulder roll.
One moment of release.

You don't necessarily need to stop what you’re doing to regulate daily stress.

Often you just need to change how your body is processing it.

Here’s one of the easiest ways to move more at work:

Use the end of a meeting as your cue.

Before you open the next email:

Stand up.
Reach overhead.
Roll your shoulders.
Take a few steps.
Refill your water.

Sometimes 60 seconds is enough to interrupt another hour of sitting.

The trick?

Don’t rely on remembering to move.

Attach movement to something that already happens all day long.

Meeting ends = body moves.
