I have some exciting news to share!
New Location and New Services!!
Grounded Bodyworks has moved! I am now located just down the road at 22201 IL-9 Tremont, IL.
This new space is still under DIY construction but its starting to coming together! Please be patient with me as I work on making it pretty!
I am so excited to share that I completed my first SRT certification this summer. SRT stands for Soft-Stretch Release Technique. A type of assisted stretching. Why is this modality so amazing you ask? It isn't just stretching! SRT is a full body, mind and soul connection. It works by settling the nervous system, which in return allows the body to feel safe, secure and supported enough to open up. It's myo fascial release. It's lymphatic drainage. It's a quiet mind. It is the part of your body in-between the muscles and bones. SRT creates space so the body can move, self adjust and let go of the daily and chronic stress. The stress you didn't even know you carried. Sessions are typically 90 minutes, give or take. You remain fully clothed and comfortable on top of the table. I use my body to move your body. Even though SRT feels incredibly gentle, it's a very powerful modality that creates huge changes that you can feel as soon as your feet hit the floor.
More big news! I have partnered up with Ann from AnaPrana to bring Restorative Yoga to Tremont.
Restorative yoga class, where you'll focus on calming the nervous system and fostering deep relaxation. This inclusive experience incorporates mindfulness practices and breathwork, inviting individuals of all skill levels to cultivate a profound sense of inner peace in a supportive environment.
Class size is limited to 10 spots. First come, first served. A non-refundable class fee is due when booking to secure your spot and our instructor.
Classes are once a month at 6pm on Thursdays. $25- per class or $100 for all 5 classes when purchased in advance. The non-refundable fee will ensure we can hold the class, secure your spot and that you have an extra reason to keep your commitment to yourself, for yourself. Come as you are, for you!
