You don't have to read tarot cards to be a witch.
No, I'm not kidding- tarot is not in alignment with everyone and forcing yourself to learn a whole language and skill to prove yourself to a community is bull
That being said; I think some form of divination is key in a successful embodiment of your personal magic.
That doesn't mean to go buy a tarot deck and start forcing yourself through it; that doesn't even mean to start with oracle cards and see where it goes. There's so many forms of divination that you can explore!
Maybe you're destined to be a charm or bone reader, maybe dream work or akashic journeys are best to provide your insight. Hell, even a fu***ng Magic 8 Ball may be in your future!! (Ask again later 🎱)
All that truly matters is you have a method in which you are comfortable connecting with your guides and receiving answers as you move and shift through life.
I personally read tarot, yes - but I also reach for a pendulum, go to visit my guides on journeys, flip coins, ask for signs, use bibliomancy, and scry with candles.
Whether you read cards, tea leaves, palms, clouds, asparagus (yes, someone has done this), smoke, or channeled writing- I just simply urge you to find your form of divination and learn that language with your whole heart. The form that is aligned to you is out there; explore! It may end up being tarot, but there's no shame if it's not. You're still magic ✨
