I highly recommend Tim White House Sport Psychology. He is experienced in working with athletes from grade school, college, and professional levels.
Last night in a thrilling match Japan stepped into the World Cup spotlight against the favorited Netherlands
Japan fell behind 1-0. Managed to tie it up 1-1. Then fell behind again 2-1.
With just minutes left in a game where one goal means everything and fatigue is setting in, most would simply give up. Japan didn’t. They managed to tie the game again 2-2 in the 88th minute.
This moment wasn’t created by just talent, this moment was built on pure perseverance - the mental ability to stay locked in despite obstacles, mistakes, and/or fatigue.
Perseverance is a crucial building block of grit in athletes. Gritty athletes consistently outperform athletes with similar or greater talent level. Perseverance helps you master your mind, which helps you master your game.
At White House Sport Psychology, we aim to help athletes do exactly that - we provide the mental tools necessary to compete when things get hard, stay focused when it matters, and finish strong.
