For Physical Therapy month we asked our therapists, this is what they had to say! Some with a bit of humor 😅

We asked what the biggest fall hazard in your home was. Stairs and Pets 🐾 were the most common responses. Since we have a lot of people with stairs, we're sharing how to safely go up and down them with a walker 👉️https://nuvi.me/5n8zyr
We're here to help members of our community who are at risk for falls. Please don't hesitate to reach out to our clinic for more information.

While falls can happen anywhere, more than half occur at home 🏠️. One of the easiest ways to help prevent a fall is to make sure that specific tripping hazards are addressed and removed. We’ve put together a short list below to help you get started. 👉️ https://nuvi.me/f7hplc

What a great ending to the World Cup. 🏆️⚽️ We asked who you thought would win, and it was close! Most of our write-ins were for Argentina; Spain votes barely took over France. Congratulations to everyone who guessed correctly - you guys were spot on!! 🙌

We're raising awareness about employees’ well-being as we celebrate National Employee Wellness Month! 🙌 Here are a few ways to overcome stress and put a positive spin on your day 😁:

✅️ Take Deep Breaths for an easy 3-5 minute exercise, sit up in a chair with your feet flat on the floor and hands on top of your knees. Breathe in and out slowly and deeply. Deep breathing oxygenates your blood.
✅️ Exercise causes your body to release endorphins, and it helps clear the mind. Get up and walk for a few minutes. If you can’t leave your desk, stretch! Stretching is a therapeutic exercise.
✅️ Eat Right and avoid sugary, fatty snack foods. Fruits and vegetables are always a good, healthy option. Keep several at your desk and enjoy them.
✅️ Listen to Music, playing calm music has a positive effect on the brain and body. If you are feeling overwhelmed, take a small break and listen to your favorite tune. One recommendation is listening to the ocean or nature sounds.
✅️ Schedule Time with family or friends to combat stress and/or loneliness by calling or meeting them after work. Schedule a group lunch or outing and have it on your calendar as something to look forward to.
