👇 Start you At a young age, he was taken under the wing of Master Vern Vineyard. Master Vineyard taught Master Boyer many life lessons that after his passing we

re passed on through Master Boyer to his students. While advancing through the ranks of martial arts, he participated in numerous training programs and many invitational tournaments giving him the opportunity to meet and train with many instructors and masters. Master Boyer achieved the position of first Degree black belt on August 10 1994 at the age of twelve years old. In September of 2013, at the age of 31, Master Boyer Tested for his 6th Degree Black Belt under 8th Degree Black Belt Master Jason Wadley, President of the UTA. Some would say his journey was complete, but for a martial artist it is never finished. Now, Master Boyer will spend the remainder of his journey teaching others like so many before taught him. Boyer Academy was opened based on a structure not only for individuals, but for the entire family. Each family member can learn Korean Tae Kwon Do at his or her own pace in a safe family-friendly environment. Tae Kwon Do is really a way of life for the entire family. Tae Kwon Do training teaches students to gain self-confidence, earn better grades in school and learn to be leaders and to live a healthy and productive life. Master Boyer and his school age students discuss the grade cards regularly. Students with low grades have to put together a plan to raise their grades. Master Boyer is especially proud of his work with children that have been diagnosed with A.D.H.D. Taekwondo is not merely a martial art for self-defense. Tae Kwon Do is a physical exercise for both young and old to develop strength and agility and to maintain health, both physically and mentally. Tae Kwon Do is a sport for the entire physical system generating energy in every organ of the body, developing the muscles and stimulating the brain. Continued training in the art, builds one's character into a strong, resilient spirit so that one can develop leadership to guide and lead in every walk of life. The heart of any martial arts school is the teacher. Master Boyer and his team of instructors teach more than technique; they teach conduct. Students are taught that it is not a disgrace to walk away from a confrontation. At Boyer Academy students are committed to the student creed: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, and indomitable spirit.

đŸ„‹ YOUR CHILD’S TRAINING ROUTINE IS EVERYTHING.

Parents, one of the biggest things we can teach our kids is this:

We don’t stop doing the things that made us successful just because we’re doing well.

We see it all the time in martial arts.

A student starts training consistently.

They’re coming to class every week.
Their confidence starts growing.
Their focus improves.
They’re getting stronger.
Their technique gets better.
They’re earning stripes and belts.

And then life gets busy.

We miss a class here.
Skip a week there.
Something else comes up.
Training starts becoming something we do when we have time.

Before long, the momentum is gone.

The mistake is thinking, “They’re doing great, so missing some training isn’t a big deal.”

But they’re doing great because of the routine.

Kids thrive on consistency.

They don’t need to feel motivated every day. They need parents who help them build routines and teach them to honor their commitments—even on the days they don’t feel like it.

That lesson becomes bigger than martial arts.

Someday it will be school.
Their health.
Their career.
Their relationships.
Their finances.
Their goals.

High performers don’t only show up when it’s convenient. They build routines—and protect them.

So when your child is doing great, don’t take your foot off the gas.

Keep showing up. Keep training. Keep growing. đŸ„‹

The belt is a goal.

The routine is what builds the person who earns it.

We teach our students all the time:

“What can you control?”
“My effort and my attitude!”

But this picture is about so much more than a Mat Chat.

This is a leader growing right in front of us.

Standing in front of a group isn’t easy. Teaching isn’t easy. Sharing a lesson while everyone is looking at you can be scary—especially for a new instructor.

But Poppy keeps stepping up.

She’s overcoming the fear, finding her voice, and learning how to lead others.

That’s what leadership looks like. Not waiting until you’re confident enough to lead—but leading until you become confident.

Poppy is absolutely killing it. đŸ”„

These are the moments we’re really training for at Boyer Academy. đŸ„‹đŸ’™đŸ’›

At Boyer Academy, we teach kids one simple lesson:

You can’t control everything that happens to you.
But you CAN control two things — your EFFORT and your ATTITUDE. đŸ’ȘđŸ”„

Bad day? Control your effort.
Something feels hard? Control your attitude.
Made a mistake? Keep working.

Those are lessons that go way beyond the mats.

đŸ„‹ What can you control?
MY EFFORT AND ATTITUDE!
