Apiary looking good! A couple of hives are not as far along as we’d like, and a couple are further along than we expected! After the nectar flow is over and the honey has been capped, we will equalize the brood between hives to encourage overall strength in our apiary.

Friday bee fact!

Did you know that bees have a special way of marking their home? They use a magical scent called Nasonov pheromone! This cute little chemical helps them recognize their hive and find their way back after foraging.

When worker bees release this pheromone, it creates a lovely scent trail that guides their friends home. It’s like nature’s own GPS! 🌼🐝
