Dr. Hughs earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Washington College and her medical degree from Poznań University of Medical Sciences in Europe. After completing her residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, she practiced outpatient pediatrics for ten years before settling in the Lower Hudson Valley.

She emphasizes educating families, supporting healthy growth, and fostering strong relationships with children and parents alike.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, she brings over 20 years of experience caring for children and adolescents and a deep passion for helping kids grow up healthy, strong, and confident.

She completed her medical training and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and North Shore University Hospital, where she also served as Chief Resident.

Dr. McGowan specializes in asthma, allergies, nutrition, and adolescent health. Whether it’s managing chronic conditions or supporting everyday growth and development, she’s all about helping families feel supported and informed every step of the way.

Her goal is simple: to make every child feel comfortable, cared for, and able to thrive!
