What if healing isn't just about treating a disease?

What if it's also about learning to listen to your body... reducing stress... finding support... and reconnecting with yourself?

When Dale Weber was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive stage 4 endometrial cancer that was declared incurable, she refused to give up hope.

Today, more than six years later, she is thriving.

But this conversation isn't just about surviving cancer.

It's about what she learned along the way.

đź’™ How she learned to advocate for herself
đź’™ How she navigated difficult conversations with family and healthcare providers
đź’™ What helped her move from overwhelm to empowerment
đź’™ Why self-care became non-negotiable
đź’™ How she supports others today as a certified Terrain Advocate
đź’™ Practical ways to prioritize your health, regardless of your budget

Whether you're navigating cancer, a chronic illness, supporting a loved one, or simply looking for hope and guidance, this conversation is for you.

At her one-year scan, Andrea Schaffer received the kind of news every cancer patient hopes for.

The moment brought tears to her eyes because her doctor could see the impact of the work she had put into supporting her health and healing after her brain cancer diagnosis.

Today, she says she feels healthier, stronger, and more hopeful than ever before.

Most importantly, she wants others navigating cancer to know:

You have the power to take charge of your health and healing journey, too.

Cancer can bring fear, uncertainty, and overwhelm.

But for some people, it also becomes a turning point.

When Andrea Schaffer discovered she had a brain tumor during a preventative full-body MRI, everything changed — not just her health journey, but her perspective on life itself.

Today, Andrea says she’s happier, more grounded, and more empowered than ever before because she finally gave herself permission to prioritize her health, reduce stress, advocate for herself, and surround herself with the right support team.

“Cancer is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me because I needed an excuse to put my health first.”

That doesn’t minimize how hard cancer can be.
But it reminds us that healing is about more than treatments alone.

It’s also about:
đź’› Reducing stress
đź’› Re-evaluating what matters
đź’› Finding hope and purpose
đź’› Building a supportive team
đź’› Learning to advocate for yourself
đź’› Creating a healthier, more empowered life

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re sharing Andrea’s story as a reminder that emotional health, stress, mindset, community, and empowerment matter deeply in the healing process.

Cancer can pull people into fear fast.

The urgency. The uncertainty. The pressure to make the “right” decision immediately.

Trish Kifer shares something powerful in this reel: healing doesn’t come from panic. It comes from learning how to pause, breathe, assess, and take the next step forward with clarity.

After a stage 3C ovarian cancer diagnosis, Trish combined conventional treatment with a deeper focus on her metabolic health and terrain. Today, she’s sharing her story to help others feel less alone and more empowered in their own journey.

We recently shared Trish’s full story on our blog — along with more patient testimonials and resources for those navigating cancer and metabolic health.

Sometimes healing means facing the “elephant in the room” — the thing we’ve been avoiding most. Has that been true for you?

“I cannot fight and heal at the same time.”

In this powerful conversation, Laura Lummer shares what happened after receiving a Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer diagnosis — and the boundary she had to create in order to protect her healing.

“You guys can support each other but you can’t bring your fear to me. I have got to put all my energy into healing.”

For many people navigating cancer, chronic illness, grief, caregiving, or overwhelming stress, healing becomes more than physical.

It becomes learning how to protect your peace, process fear differently, regulate overwhelm, and create space for healing.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re exploring the connection between emotional well-being, stress, resilience, and healing.

You can’t build metabolic health on top of overwhelm.

If someone is constantly activated, exhausted, or living in fear, it becomes incredibly difficult to make the changes needed to support healing.

In this clip from the Metabolic Health Day Conference, we explore an important truth:

Mental and emotional health isn’t separate from healing — it influences everything.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re taking a closer look at how stress, resilience, and nervous system regulation shape the healing process.

A conversation. A question. A moment that stayed with him.

In this clip, Dorian Greenow, co-founder of Keto-Mojo, shares a personal experience that led to a deeper exploration of metabolic approaches in cancer care — and the research that followed.

In one of our latest blog posts, we highlight how emerging clinical research is beginning to explore ketogenic strategies alongside standard of care — and why tracking biomarkers like glucose and ketones may play an important role in understanding how the body responds.
