One of the most exciting breakthroughs we’ve seen in tinnitus is a technology called "bimodal neuromodulation." 🤩

It sounds complex, but the concept is brilliant: we pair customized sound therapy played through headphones with gentle physical stimulation (like a vibrating wristband or a small device on the tip of the tongue 👅). By stimulating your auditory and nervous systems simultaneously, we essentially distract your brain and force it to rewire the neural circuits that are causing the tinnitus.

While we don't directly dispense bimodal neuromodulation devices, we are passionate about keeping our patients informed on the latest breakthroughs in the field. Finding the right treatment always starts with understanding your specific hearing profile.

One of the biggest myths I hear is: “If you have ringing in your ears, you just have to live with it.”

Here’s the truth: tinnitus is common, and while we can’t always “turn it off,” we can help turn down how much it takes up space in your day.

Tinnitus can be exhausting, especially when it’s quiet, and your brain won’t “turn it down.” If you’re feeling frustrated, worried, or exhausted, you’re not alone. Many people wait to bring it up because they assume nothing can be done. 🫶

We’ll take it step by step: we’ll talk through what you’re noticing, check your hearing, and build a plan that feels realistic and manageable, so you can get back to focusing on life instead of the ringing. 🧩

Hearing 101 is next week! 🎉

We will have mini classes, food trucks, raffles, office tours, AND a special ribbon cutting hosted by the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Participation in a class will get you a free food ticket to redeem at the food truck outside the office! Also a ticket to enter the raffle which a winner will be chosen at the end of each class.

And to show our appreciation, all attendees will be able to schedule services at a 20% discount.

If you’re hearing ringing, buzzing, or whooshing sounds, even when it’s quiet, it could be tinnitus, and you’re definitely not alone.

We actually offer Tinnitus Consultations just for that. It gives the audiologist more time to understand what you’re experiencing and talk through options that can really help.
