It was a typical day of over-everything—buying saturation, energy stimulation, junk food and exhaustion—to be expected at the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show in any year. So it wasn’t surprising that I’d seek sonic refuge in the Crystal Tones™ Alchemy bowl tent.

Usually, when I enter their tents, I’m stunned by the light and presence of ALL the bowls. But this one day, only one bowl, a 7” Ruby tall, caught my attention.

From the doorway I saw a strange marbling on the wall of this bowl.

“…a curious and unnecessary addition to these bowls.”

I snaked my way through the room for a closer look. As I approached the shelf, I saw that the unusual ‘marbling effect’ was not an artistic choice at all. This bowl had been broken... and repaired.

I went right into reaction: Why would they display a bowl like this, void of shelf appeal, disfigured with ribbons of liquid crystal scars where she once was whole? Then I chimed the edge of this Being.

Instantly, this single tone echoed through my body, flushing my nervous system with light and activating a harmonic home-chord in the core of my being.

I’d never experienced a single tone like this from any bowl... ever!

There is a tendency to argue that forces outside of (the collective) me brought us to the brink of another near tragic event.

Life-altering national events have ricocheted through my entire journey on this earth. From political assassinations, to social revolutions, fiscal uncertainty, global terror, and now, an assassination attempt on the life of a prominent political figure.

Will it ever end?

I’m moved to share this excerpt from a timely message written by Gregge Tiffen, a modern mystic and teacher... sent out two days after the bombing of the Twin Towers.

Though a different time and event, the recent assassination attempt at a political rally offers us another experience where he says, we know that we need:

“It’s time to remind yourself that you are here at this time because you chose to be here at this time, and in no way is this a mistake. Your experience NOW, is an experience that you knew you needed even before you arrived here. How you respond will have a profound effect on your spiritual development from this moment forward.

Life and death are the same reality in the expression of universal omnipotence in an infinite universe. You are a part of the whole. What does not kill you helps you. What kills you helps your spirits to find its place among the halls of spiritual reality. Do not shun life, And do not try to hide from death.

In every respect, you are the rock in the storm. You cannot be washed away. You will always see the dawn, and you will always watch the sun set. In the flow of time, you are the Immovable reality.”

It amazes me how many times I’ve walked into someone’s home or studio and found the Crystal Tones Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls (or bowl) sitting quietly on a shelf... stunning, pristine... and untouched, almost like museum pieces.

When I ask, “Do you play them often?” the answer is almost always the same.

“Well... I’m afraid I might break them.”

Yikes. What I hear in that is bowl potential silenced, unused. A bowl longing. A bowl quietly whispering, “Please, let me sing you home.”

These crystal beings are sentient, in my personal experience. They are living crystalline consciousness here to assist us in transforming our lives through sound. They move energy, recalibrate the cells, and awaken our capacity to feel life.

“No one puts baby in the corner!” ... (or leaves bowl on the shelf)

How slowed-down can one get and still get going? Well, the answer arrived last Thursday, when in a flash, a full bottle, mindlessly placed on the counter, slid off and landed bottom first on an unsuspecting toe.

Crack ... OOWW !!

So much to prepare for with one foot in a boot!

Visas, international flight protocols and procedures, packing and now a wheelchair...

Holy MAMA how am I going to do this?
