Yesterday marked 1 year since we held you in our arms and even though time has passed, our love has stayed exactly where it was. ♥️
It stays nestled in your favorite blanket, in your toys that are still in the same spots, in your collar that hangs waiting for our next walk together because we still take you with us every time we go, in the sacred heart we hung above your eating place, in your sleeping basket 🧺 in the studio, in the dried flowers we brought home from last Aug 25th. It’s everywhere. Always.
It remains woven into the fabric of all of the wonderful memories we shared with your wild, soulful, adventurous little self. In the life we made as a pack and the micro moments that consistently bring you back to us.
Yesterday we spent the entire day remembering not only what we lost but everything we had.
We visited all your favorite places, the place where we found you and brought you home to us, the place where we had to let you go and every special magical memory marker in between. We told stories of you and shared photos of you with family and friends.
Today, we are writing this with tears streaming down our faces, with immense love in our hearts, and smiles bigger than ever out of gratitude for the sweetest, softest, most uncomplicated love we have ever had the privilege of having.
