Seattle, you made history. 🌲⚽️
Over the weekend of May 22, USABA traveled to Seattle where Interbay Stadium held the inaugural Blind Soccer International Tournament. The USA Blind Soccer Men's National Team competed against Kazakhstan and Peru for a first-of-its-kind international competition in the Pacific Northwest. New fans. New athletes. A growing movement.
None of it happens without the partners who showed up to build it with us. Special thanks to:
🤝 FWC26Seattle for believing accessibility belongs at the heart of the World Cup legacy
🤝 United Adaptive Soccer Association for the on-the-ground expertise and tireless support
🤝 Ballard FC and Salmon Bay FC for opening your house and proving the game is truly for everyone
🤝 Interbay Stadium for being the stage where this moment happened
🤝 West Coast Goalkeeping for providing our kits, and continually backing our keepers and the next generation behind them
🤝 Rough & Tumble Pub for being a gathering place for the soccer community that lifts every team
🤝 Washington State School for the Blind — for bringing the students whose smiles, questions, and shots on goal made this whole weekend matter most
This is what legacy looks like. Seattle, we're just getting started. 🇺🇸
