Six things in the two weeks before your period that point to low progesterone:
1. Trouble sleeping, particularly waking in the middle of the night. Progesterone is one of your body's natural calming signals, and low levels disrupt deep sleep.
2. Anxiety or a low, flat mood that lifts once your period starts.
3. Sore, swollen, tender breasts.
4. Bloating and water retention that make you feel puffy and heavy.
5. Spotting before your period fully begins.
6. Shorter cycles, because a weak luteal phase moves your period up earlier than it should.
One of these on its own may mean little. Several together, month after month, are a pattern worth taking seriously. We can test where your progesterone actually sits and build a plan from there. Consults are open at Results in Tulsa.
