Hi friends! As a reminder we will not be available for consults this weekend as half of our crew is out at The Homeward Bound Tattoo expo in our tattoo supply booth (we aren’t tattooing at it this year, as a note!). If you have an appointment with an artist at the shop it stands as is, we just won’t be having lobby/consult hours. “Divas, homies, and new/old friends alike, my name is Kii Johnson (they/them). I’m a 2spirit Mvskoke + Cheyenne and Arapaho tattooer originally from Morris, OK. In 2024 I started my apprenticeship and have since been a part of the tattoo industry here in Tulsa. I love doing blackwork, contemporary takes on indigenous patterns, vibrant color, and fine line but am attracted to a variety of styles. I both hand poke and tattoo with a machine, and I would love to do more work that incorporates both techniques. I aim to create relationships built on trust and mutual respect with my clients. It’s important to me to foster a safe and welcoming environment for my community where my clients feel confident to use their voice. When I’m not tattooing I enjoy playing acoustic guitar, listening to Charli XCX, and scouring thrift shops to add to my growing trinket/doo-dad collection. Hey friends! Here’s some shop updates for those following along: ✨Caroline & Grey have open books & are ready to get you tattooed! 🩷Anna Marie & Nico’s books are currently closed, they are unavailable for consults✨Dallas has made the decision to end his chapter at Crybaby Ink. We couldn’t be more grateful for the time we had with him while he was here, happy to part professional ways as friends, & wish him nothing but the best as he navigates what’s next. That’s right! We’re hiring!

Let me tell you all about it!

Artists START at 30% pay in, after the 1st year 25% and after the 2nd year 20%.

You’ll receive:
Discounts on needles ($15 a box)
Free Crybaby Glide and Stencil Bond
Discounts on ink (Raw pigments tattoo ink)
Discounts on all supplies we don’t supply for free.
A clean and friendly environment.
Free gloves
Free Matacide and Castile soap for tattooing
Free Coban and ink caps.

Schedule is Weds-Sunday 12-4 for the first 3 months.
We do allow people to stay after 4 , that is just when our consult hrs are. But if you want to leave you’re free to go.
After those 3 months you can make your own schedule.

Things you should know! —->

This is an open concept shop meaning we do not have walls but we do have draped curtains in a couple of rooms you can shift to if needed and any artist can pull them shut for privacy.

We work together to keep a nice environment to work in. Communication is key. We do help eachother with keeping the shop clean.

We have a coffee bar, microwave and refrigerator so you can feel right at home.

We have built our reputation on treating our clients with deep respect and compassion. Showing up prepared and on time for every appointment is a huge part of that.
We know that life happens, but waiting around for hours while an artist draws in the lobby takes a heavy toll on our clients. It can mean scrambling for extra childcare, losing valuable work hours, or missing out on important events. Let us always be mindful of their schedules.
(Of course, if your specific arrangement with a client involves sitting down together to sketch out an idea, that is a different story. Just make sure you are both on the same page!)

At Crybaby, we’ve built something special here in Tulsa, and we want to keep it that way. Our goal is to create a fun, welcoming escape for our amazing clients,and for our artists. We’re all about good energy, mutual respect, and being a truly judge-free zone.
We trust the people we work with to act like adults, manage their business, and take pride in what we’ve built together. We aren't here to micromanage. We want to give you the space and freedom to do what you do best.
