The University of Alabama Student Health Center and Pharmacy The UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy is committed to providing high quality health care to UA students in a private, confidential and professional manner.

The Student Health Center (SHC) & Pharmacy is designed to meet your healthcare needs. Our services include acute and chronic care, vaccinations, allergy shots, women’s health, nutrition therapy, psychiatry, substance abuse and foreign travel consultation. In addition to these services, the SHC has access to multi-specialty practice consultation and referral through University Medical Center. We also have an on-site pharmacy to conveniently meet the needs of our students' health.

New at the UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy?

Here’s what to expect at your first visit:

• Check in with our front desk team
• Review of your medical and family history
• Vital signs taken before you see the provider
• Meet with the provider to review your concerns and next steps

If medication is needed, our on-site pharmacy can fill most prescriptions and offers common over-the-counter items.

Scheduling an appointment at the UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy is quick and easy. Students can call 205-348-2778 or schedule online through the Patient Portal in myBama.

Walk-ins are welcome at the SHCP, but some specialty services require appointments, including women’s health, psychiatry, nutrition, allergy and dermatology.

The SHCP is open Monday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm and Friday from 9am to 5pm.

What time is it? Summertime! The UA Student Health Center and Pharmacy is open throughout the summer, providing students with convenient access to care on campus.

Services include primary care, women’s health, mental health, nutrition and an on-site pharmacy where students can fill prescriptions or transfer them from their hometown pharmacy.

Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8am-5pm and Friday from 9am-5pm. Walk ins are welcome, or call (205) 348-2778 to schedule an appointment.
