Before you head out, remember to:
✔ Always wear a properly fitted helmet
✔ Follow traffic laws and signals
✔ Use hand signals when turning
✔ Stay visible with bright clothing or lights
✔ Ride with traffic, not against it
✔ Stay alert and avoid distractions

🚨 Boil Water Order Notice for Eldon Businesses & Facilities 🚨

The City of Eldon is currently under a boil water order issued by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

💧 Important: If your water source is not the City of Eldon water system, this order does not apply to you.

While the Miller County Health Center does not oversee municipal water systems, we work to ensure that food establishments, lodging facilities, and childcare providers have the information they need to keep patrons safe—including access to a safe water supply.

Businesses affected by the boil water order have two options:

✅ Option 1: Voluntarily cease operations until the boil water order is lifted.

✅ Option 2: Obtain an alternate supply of potable water and/or ice and provide satisfactory methods for handwashing, food preparation, and equipment cleaning and sanitation.

If you believe your facility's filtration or chlorination system exempts you from the order, please provide documentation of approval from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The DNR Drinking Water Office can be reached at 573-751-3131.

Please review the guidance provided by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and contact us if you have questions at [email protected] or by calling 573-369-2400.

🎀 Prioritize Your Health: Schedule Your Mammogram 🎀

When it comes to breast cancer, early detection can save lives.

Regular mammograms are one of the most effective tools for finding breast cancer early, often before symptoms appear. Detecting cancer at an earlier stage can lead to more treatment options and better outcomes.

If you're due for a mammogram or have been putting it off, now is the perfect time to make your health a priority. Taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's essential for you, your family, and your future.

💗 Know your risk.
💗 Talk with your healthcare provider.
💗 Stay up to date on recommended screenings.

You can schedule a screening with the Mobile Mammography van for June 15th by calling our office, 573-369-2400.
