Domestic violence is not always visible. Abuse can be emotional, verbal, psychological, financial, or physical, making it important to recognize unhealthy behaviors.

Healthy relationships are built on respect, trust, communication, boundaries, and support. Control, threats, fear, and intimidation are not signs of love. 💜

Healthy love feels safe, respected, and supported.

Malek Stafford graduated from Booker T. Washington in 2022 as part of the first RHEMA scholar class. After graduation, Malek continued his education at Troy University, where he majored in Computer Science. At Troy, Malek joined several organizations, including the Freshman Forum, 101 Elite Men, the Black Student Union, the Student Government Association, and the Trojan Debate Team. He graduated from Troy this past May and started his IT career at Vulcan Materials, one of Alabama's two Fortune 500 companies. He says he is truly grateful for RHEMA's support and encourages students, whether in high school or college, to stay true to their goals and never give up!

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜 This month, Rhema Health & Wellness is helping raise awareness, support survivors, and encourage healthier, safer relationships within our community.

Domestic violence can take many forms, and understanding the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors is an important part of prevention. Creating a supportive community starts with respect, open communication, and knowing when someone may need help.

Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, heard, and supported.

At Rhema Health & Wellness, caring for our patients doesn't stop when the office visit ends! Our care coordination program provides additional support to help patients manage chronic health conditions, understand their care plans, coordinate appointments and referrals, follow up after hospital visits, and stay connected with their healthcare team.

Our care coordinator, Kayla Dillard, works alongside our providers to help patients navigate their healthcare needs and stay on track with their health goals.
