Sometimes I feel like I have this secret I just want to tell everyone.

I’ll hear someone say…

“I’m tired all the time.”
“I don’t sleep anymore.”
“I have no energy.”
“I just don’t feel like myself.”

And then they follow it up with…

“But I guess that’s just what happens when you get older.”

And inside I’m screaming…

BUT IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY.

Yes, our bodies change as we age. But I think we are sometimes too quick to blame every new symptom on getting older.

I’m currently working with an 87-year-old woman who came to me experiencing a significant slump in her energy every afternoon.

At her recent follow-up, after just 5 weeks of working on some of the areas we identified and adding targeted nutritional support, she told me something pretty amazing:

That afternoon slump isn’t happening anymore.

At 87.

I share that because it’s such a good reminder:

It is never too late to work on feeling better.

Sometimes there are reasons you feel the way you do.

Hormones. Stress and cortisol patterns. Gut health. Nutrient deficiencies. Blood sugar regulation. Sleep. Lifestyle.

I don’t have a secret to stop aging. 😉 But I do believe we can do a much better job of helping people feel good while they’re doing it.

So if you’ve been telling yourself…

“I guess this is just what getting older feels like…”

Maybe it’s time to stop assuming—and start asking why. 💚

Have you been blaming the way you feel on getting older? Send me a message—I’d love to help you start asking why.

Real life Saturday. 🤍

Today I chose to lift weights…and I never really got past that I don’t want to do this feeling.

A few things probably contributed:

1️⃣ I didn’t eat enough.
About 5 minutes in, I started feeling shaky even though I’d had eggs, avocado + a banana about 1.5 hours earlier. I stopped, grabbed an applesauce squeezie for some quick sugar…and it worked like a charm.

2️⃣ I ran out of my amino acids.
My favorite pre-workout concoction is Spark + creatine + amino acids. And I genuinely notice a difference when I have my aminos—more energy and better stamina.

3️⃣ Sleep has been…less than ideal. 😵‍💫
My 4-year-old has been waking up scared at night and sneaking into our room. I’ve been walking her back to bed and lying with her until she falls asleep. Last night, that happened twice.

So today’s workout wasn’t great.

I didn’t feel strong.
I didn’t feel motivated.
And I never got that magical burst of energy halfway through.

So I cut my lifting a little short and finished with 10 minutes of yoga instead.

Because sometimes doing your best doesn’t mean pushing harder. It means adjusting to where your body is that day.

This is my reality right now. And I’m doing my best with where I’m at in life.

Now I’m curious—do you have a favorite pre-workout drink or concoction? 👇

🌶️ Apparently my garden decided I needed ALL the jalapeños this year. 😂

Last week I made chili…yes, I know it’s still hot outside. Don’t judge me. 😆

This week? Cucumber salsa. 🥒🌶️
And ohhhh my gosh…SO good.

Also, this is my first year growing jalapeños and I’ve learned something important:

Homegrown jalapeños do NOT mess around. 🔥😂

Now I need ideas because I still have SO MANY. What should I make next?!

And if you want my cucumber salsa recipe, comment RECIPE below and I’ll send it to you! 💚

🌿 TENNESSEE — I’m looking for 3 people!

Are you tired ALL the time?
Can’t sleep?
Struggling with anxiety or depression that doesn’t feel well controlled?
Doing all the “right” things but still can’t lose weight?
Never quite sure what your bowels are going to do from one day to the next?

Or maybe you’ve simply reached the point where you know you don’t feel like yourself anymore — and you want to understand WHY.

JM3 Wholelife Wellness is growing in Tennessee, and I’m excited to launch something brand new:

The JM3 Tennessee Ambassador Program. 🌿

I’m looking for 3 people in Tennessee who are ready to dig deeper into their health, experience the JM3 functional medicine process, and share pieces of their journey along the way.

As a Founding JM3 Tennessee Ambassador, you’ll receive:

✨ An exclusive Founding Ambassador rate on JM3 professional services — grandfathered in long-term
✨ 30% off your first Fullscript supplement order
✨ 15% off subsequent supplement orders during your ambassador term
✨ JM3 gear

In return, I’m asking my ambassadors to share pieces of their experience on social media approximately twice a month.

I’m not looking for scripted advertisements or people with thousands of followers.

I want real people sharing a real journey — what you’re learning about your body, the changes you’re making, the wins, the challenges, and what it actually looks like to dig deeper and figure out what may be driving the way you feel.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

That’s kind of the point. 💚

Interested in becoming one of my 3 Founding Tennessee Ambassadors?

Comment TENNESSEE below or send me a private message and I’ll send you the details!

This is my brain during a 3-mile run. 😂

Saturday has become my running day.

3 miles.

Is that an impressive distance? Nope. But it’s where I’m at right now—and every Saturday my brain seems to follow the exact same pattern.

Mile 0–1:
This is not fun.
I don’t feel like doing this.
My legs are sore from lifting.
Why did I decide running was a good idea?
How am I ONLY at .6 miles?! 😂

Mile 1–2.5:
Okay…here we go.

My body is warm. I’ve settled into my pace. My breathing feels good.

And once my brain finally stops obsessing over the fact that I don’t want to run…I actually start enjoying it.

Then the ideas start.

I’m a dreamer. And there is something about this part of a run that lets my mind wander. This is where some of my biggest ideas happen. I dream them up while I’m moving…and later I figure out how the heck I’m going to execute them.

Mile 2.5–3:
Okay. I’m ready to be done now. 😂

My body starts hurting again. Breathing gets a little more labored. I’m checking the distance WAY too often.

3.0 miles. DONE.

And suddenly?

Euphoria.

I feel amazing. I’m proud of myself. My head is clear. And I feel ready to conquer the day.

Funny how many things in life are like that.

The hardest part isn’t always doing the thing.

Sometimes it’s getting through that first mile when your brain is giving you 47 reasons to quit.

And THAT is why I keep showing up on Saturdays. 💪

📚 FROM MY LIBRARY TO YOURS

I am REALLY enjoying Natural Hormone Balance for Women by Uzzi Reiss, MD.

What I love most? It explains what hormone imbalance can actually feel like in everyday life.

Meet Sarah. She’s exhausted, forgetful, not sleeping, her joints ache and suddenly she’s waking up drenched in sweat.
➡️ Low estrogen?

Meet Katie. The week before her period she’s anxious, irritable, can’t relax, her breasts hurt and her periods are getting heavier.
➡️ Low progesterone?

Meet Lisa. She’s bloated, retaining water, her breasts are swollen and tender, periods are heavier and she’s noticeably more impatient and snappy.
➡️ Estrogen dominance?

Meet Amy. She works out but doesn’t feel as strong. She’s losing muscle tone, her energy and stamina are down and her s*x drive has disappeared.
➡️ Low testosterone?

THIS is why I love this book. It helps women connect the dots between how they feel and what may be happening hormonally.

It also does a great job explaining bioidentical vs. synthetic hormones and why understanding the difference matters.

If you just read one of those women and thought, “Wait…that sounds like me,” this may be a book for you.

"I can’t sleep.”

For a lot of people, the next thought is:

Maybe I need magnesium.

And listen—I LOVE magnesium. It’s incredibly important and can absolutely support relaxation and sleep.

But when someone tells me they aren’t sleeping…

Magnesium isn’t where my mind goes first.

I want to know WHY your body isn’t sleeping.

First, I want to see the rhythm of your cortisol.

Cortisol should naturally be at its lowest at night when you’re getting ready to sleep.

But cortisol is also one of our major stress hormones. When your body perceives a threat—whether that stress is emotional, metabolic, inflammatory or physiologic—cortisol can rise as part of that response.

So if your cortisol is elevated at bedtime?

It’s like your body has volunteered for overnight watch duty in the Hunger Games.

You’re asking it to relax and sleep while it’s getting signals that say:

Stay alert. Something might be coming.

And then I’m looking at your gut.

Because an inflamed gut isn’t just a digestive problem.

Inflammation can push more tryptophan down the kynurenine pathway, potentially leaving less available for serotonin production.

Why does that matter for sleep?

Tryptophan → serotonin → melatonin. 🌙

So now we have another possible reason your sleep machinery isn’t working the way it should.

This is why I don’t hear “I can’t sleep” and immediately reach for a sleep supplement.

I want to know:

What is keeping your body from being able to sleep in the first place?

Because magnesium may help you relax.

But if your cortisol rhythm is off or your body is dealing with an inflammatory stressor, we need to address WHY.

I really didn’t feel like moving this morning.

But I made myself get outside anyway.

3 miles. ☀️ And I feel SO much better than I did when I started.

Sometimes we wait until we feel motivated to move—but sometimes the energy comes after we start.

It’s beautiful outside this morning. Get out there. Walk. Move your body. Soak up some sunshine and fresh air.

I promise you’ll be glad you did. ❤️

Happy Saturday!

👏 Can we give Brittney a little shout-out?!

The first photo is summer 2025.
The second is this summer.

Brittney and I started working together in May, and she is absolutely CRUSHING it.

We train together for just 30 minutes once a week. We’ve also been working on supporting her adrenal health, and she has now moved into the next phase of her program—addressing yeast overgrowth and gut health.

But here’s the part I really want to celebrate:

I can provide the tools. I can build the plan. I can educate, guide and adjust along the way.

But my patients have to execute.

And Brittney is doing that beautifully. 👏

She is putting in the work outside of those 30 minutes with me. She is being consistent. She is following through.

And you can SEE that her hard work is paying off. 🔥

So proud of you, Brittney. Keep going. ❤️
